Ancord Bluetooth Shower Speaker Waterproof IPX6

Really nice speaker. It is small only about 3 inches or so across. The speaker is waterproof, so it is great for taking in the shower or along on any outdoor adventure like camping, to the beach, on the boat, or anywhere.  The speaker is quite loud. It is also Bluetooth capable. It connected very easily and quickly to my phone and my laptop.

This comes with the speaker, the micro USB to USB charging cord, and a auxiliary cord. The cord plugs into any USB port for charging.

I have it setting on my desk at the minute and hook my MP3 player to it through the Auxiliary cable and listen to my music or audiobooks while I am working on my computer. The speaker will work while it is plugged into the wall charger. The good part about this speaker if I am listening to an audiobook or music  and want to change laundry out or go to the kitchen I can simply take it with me. It is lightweight and has a wrist strap on it. The wrist strap is pretty small and i cannot get it over my wrist but it works great as a handle. With a carabiener you could hook it to a belt, tote bag, or backpack.

WEBSUN Egg Bite Molds Silicone

This egg bite mold is made of soft food grade silicone. It comes with a nice tight fitting plastic lid. There are little clip like thins on the bottom of the lid that fits tight by wrapping around the edge of the mold, and securely holds it in place.

This mold will work with any 5 to 8 qt Instant Pot pressure cooker. It is also safe for using in
the freezer and microwave, and without the lid you can even put them in the oven. Each cup holds 2.3 ounces. The size is great if your are portion sizing. It would also be great for making home made baby foods.

I love that it is naturally non stick with the silicone. So no added oils are needed. Like I said before it is soft silicone so is very easy to remove what ever yo cook or freeze in it, just by pushed up on the bottom of the mold. This is hassle free for cleaning and dishwasher safe.

The mold could also be used in other rooms of the house. This would be a great item in the craft room. You could put beads or jewelry findings in the cups or maybe even use it as a paint tray. The possibilities are endless.

Omerker Women's Long Sleeve Pockets Lace T-Shirt Dress Knee Length

Cute flowing dress. This dress is a knee length T-shirt material dress. The dress has long sleeves, and a rounded neckline. It has side pockets at each hip and it has lace below the bottom hem. It is safe for machine washing and drying. Other then the lace at the bottom there is no embellishment on the dress. I kind of like that personally. I can choose what jewelry I want to wear with it and even add a sash or belt if I want to. The dress would be cute to wear with tights or leggings, high heels, sandals, or even a a cute pair of canvas tennis shoes. So in my book plain is a real good thing, since the decisions are mine to take this dress from a sack to personalized and spectacular. I also like that with its bell like shape it does kind of hide body imperfections. It is a loose fitting dress and does have some swing to it. This dress is cute enough to wear around the house or even to the store as is, but when you personalize it with your own embellishments you could wear it anywhere and for any occasion.

My Review:

This book was a bit more then I bargained for in a few spots. If it is a dark subject this book hits on it. Murder, Child Sexual abuse, crib death, mental illness suicide and more. Even with all that darkness this was still a book I could not put down.

In the book Dakota Crow wakes up with a headache in a strange place. She almost immediately finds out she is in Purgatory Hotel.  But doesn't know why. She can't remember anything. She knows or least has a feeling she was a good person in life and has no idea what she could of done to end up in Purgatory.

Purgatory is a dark, dirty, and scary place. It is always dark and always storming. Hallways lead on with no endings. People are strange. Book and cigarettes are free and always in reach though. The first person she meets is Danny the bartender. He basically tells her some of the rules abotu the place. The problem is the rules tend to change at will. She then meets Betty. Betty is in Purgatory for killing her husbandS.

Someone tells Dakota about the Library of Remembrance. Dakota goes on a search to find it, hoping to be able to find out her past and what she done so wrong to get into this place. Once she finds it she finds her book of life and begins to read. She finds out many things she wished she didn't have to remember. Finally after reading the last page she must decide how and if she wants to make the needed amends to check out of Purgatory Hotel.

I do have to admit that with throughout the book a singer named Nick Cave was brought up a lot so I found myself on Youtube checking him out. I found some new music to listen to.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
On a warm day in July 1978, a mother was admitted to hospital, awaiting the arrival of her new baby.
She was reading Sleeping Murder by Agatha Christie and the midwives thought it a gruesome choice
for an expectant mother. A story of a long forgotten murder and repressed memories. As it turned out
her new baby, Anne-Marie would grow up and find herself drawn to all things macabre, and would one
day herself turn out a story of murder and memories lost.
Anne Marie grew up on the Essex coast with her parents and six siblings in a house that was full of
books and movies and set the scene for her lifelong love of both.
She began writing short stories when she was still at primary school after reading the book The October
Country by Ray Bradbury. He was and still is her favourite author and the reason she decided at age 9
that she too would be a writer someday.
n her teens she continued to write short stories and branched out into poetry, publishing a few in her
late teens. In her early twenties she began committing herself to writing a novel and wrote one by the
age of 20 that she then put away, fearing it was too weird for publication.
She wrote Purgatory Hotel over several years, but again kept it aside after several rejections from
publishers. Luckily for her, she found a home for her twisted tale with Crooked Cat Books.
Her favourite authors include Ray Bradbury, Jack Kerouac, Stephen King, Denis Lehane and Douglas
Coupland. She also takes great inspiration from music and movies, her favourite artists being Nick
Cave and The Bad Seeds, Johnny Cash, Interpol, David Lynch and David Fincher.
Anne-Marie moved to London in 2008 where she lives to this day, amidst books and DVDs, with her
husband and daughter.

Shush, we need to focus.
Aye, aye, LT. He gave her a mock salute.
Charlie just shook her head, tried to focus on the job. Hell, she couldn’t wait to celebrate but the job hadn’t
been completed yet. They’d spent months setting up this operation. Plus, her boyfriend, Scott, was coming
home too, so she had even more to celebrate. Everything was coming together. She’d finally oversee her own
team and had her boyfriend home. After weeks apart it would be great to finally spend some time together.
But she knew she’d have a lot of work to do after her big promotion.
The sound of the warehouse door creaking open made Charlie grip her gun tighter. A man dressed in a black
hoodie came in with Simon’s informant. She couldn’t make out the man’s face. Lou, do you have a visual?
Not yet.
Nat?
Negative, her partner replied.
Charlie crawled along the floor, feeling the cold metal against her skin. She had to be careful, quiet or she
risked giving them all away.
Simon, his informant and the newcomer gathered, talking in low voices. She tried to listen in on them
through the comm link in her ear, but couldn’t make out much of their conversation.
Charlie, that’s him. That’s our guy, Lou said.
Her heart started to beat faster, and she aimed her rifle at their target. The man pulled a small wooden box
out of his jacket. Lou, can you see what that thing is? she asked.

The grisly murder of a diplomat’s son in Central Park draw NYPD Detective Gerald Meeker and FBI Special Agent Andee Trakes into a twisted and confusing investigation. Within hours, the evidence indicates the man was executed in the manner saved for werewolves. Andee Trakes is assigned to liaison with a history professor, who is an expert on folklore and legends.

From the initial killing in the park, a bloody spree is ignited that soon has Andee and Lloyd forced to work together to protect themselves and family members.
Shadow of the Moon explores the world of werewolves and paints a picture of what is good about them, as well as bad. The story explains what is beautiful as well as ugly about the wolf.
The story is fast paced and full of interesting characters and several twists and turns to keep both the fantasy as well as the suspense and romance enthusiasts entertained.
EXCERPT:
“I’m Special Agent Trakes, I’m with the FBI. I drove up from New York to see Professor Lloyd.”

“I’m Professor Lloyd’s assistant. Is he expecting you?” Her smile never wavered, though the hand dropped to her side.

“No, as I said, I’m with the FBI, and we don’t normally make appointments.”

Miranda, with smile still in place, walked to the door leading to the professor’s office as she said, “Let me check with him, but I’m sure he will be able to meet with you. I keep his appointment calendar, so I know he’s not overly busy.”

“Hey, I was here first, and I’ve waited thirty minutes.”

Trakes turned back to the office and noticed a blonde had stood to announce her displeasure. She tried to show her indignation with the agent, but her glare fell short.

Trakes smiled at the student and held out her FBI credentials for the blonde to see.

“I’m with the FBI, sweetie. We get cuts.”

Behind her, she heard Miranda say, “Sit down, Shelly, you know as well as I do the professor won’t change your grade.”

Trakes turned back to Miranda and waved the credentials one more time.

“These are really the only announcement I need, but thank you. I’ll just pop in. Then the professor and I will get acquainted.”

Before Miranda could object, the agent turned and stepped through the door.

Her first impression of the office was the desk. It was large, made of wood and appeared antique… Professor Lloyd sat behind the desk.

He studied papers with his head lowered, and her first glimpse of him took in the breadth of his shoulders and his hair. It was thick and dark, almost black down the center of the head, but shaded to grey by the time it reached the man’s ears. It was combed back, but a natural part down the center caused it to fall to each side. She wondered what it felt like, then forced herself to refocus.

As she stepped through the door, Trakes announced, “Good afternoon, I’m…”

He looked up from his papers.

The eyes were a pale blue. Ice blue. The shade of blue used to sell breath mints, and her intake of air seemed fresher as it travelled to her lungs. The eyes were hard and unwelcoming. Andee wished she had waited to be announced. She stepped into the room and tripped on the edge of the rug. She whispered a curse, caught her balance, held her blush to a minimum and muttered an apology.

“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have…”
Those eyes, still focused on her, softened enough to indicate his irritation at the interruption had grown into a mild curiosity. As he studied her, he allowed an eyebrow to raise and his head to cant to one side. She suddenly felt exposed, and her blush from the ungainly entry deepened. Her heart paused, and then quickened. Her stomach tickled, then settled into nervousness. Her underarms damped and a question about deodorant flashed through her mind. She tried again to introduce herself, but discovered she had forgotten her name.

“Professor, I’m…a…I’m…”

Her words came in a small squeak. It may have been the squeak a mouse makes when she sees the hawk dive, but it was certainly the squeak of prey. She froze. The corners of his mouth turned.

“Uncle Alwyn, you stop this. Stop it, right now.”

The commands came from Miranda, and the professor looked past Trakes to his niece, who was standing in the doorway. As he broke eye contact, Andee gulped air. She realized she’d forgotten to breathe.

“Uncle Alwyn, I’m ashamed of you,” Miranda continued, and she took Andee’s arm and assisted her to one of the chairs in front of the desk. Andee smiled her gratitude as she felt dizzy. She looked up at the assistant, who smiled down at her.

“Don’t mind my uncle. He does that sometimes. It’s because he is an Alpha.”

“He’s a what?”

Andee felt as if she was clearing a fog.

“He’s an Alpha, and sometimes he takes advantage.”

“An Alpha? Is that a fraternity?”

Author Bio:
Winner of Readers’ Favorite Silver Award for Historical Fiction/Western, Kwen knew he wanted to be a writer when he was fourteen years old. He felt the urge when he finished Earnest Hemingway’s masterpiece For Whom The Bell Tolls. The story touched him in a way no other book ever had. It transported a kid born and raised on a farm and ranch in Idaho to the mountains of Spain. It took him back in time forty years to witness the Spanish Civil War. Kwen knew he wanted to share that wonder with other people.
John Lennon said, “Life is what happens while you make other plans.” While Kwen lived a full and varied life, his dream of writing remained in the back of his mind.
Finally, in 2012, he wrote a novella named Dear Emma. He self-published through Amazon and asked people to read it. “The best way to see if I can write is to let people check it out,” he said. Like it, they did. Currently, Dear Emma enjoys a 4.8 out of 5 stars rating on Amazon.
Often asked what genre he writes, Kwen replies he writes stories about people and uses the genre that best fits the story. “I think of the genre, or setting as another character that interacts to help tell the story,” he says.
His most often received and constant comment is how real his characters seem. Upon the completion of his historical fiction trilogy Sam and Laura books, a reader telephoned Kwen and directed him to write more stories about the couple. When asked why the reader was so adamant about more stories, he replied he “wasn’t ready to tell Sam and Laura good bye yet.”

Kwen considers that comment one of his highest compliments.
Kwen’s books are getting some attention from the literary community. The Law of Moses, the Silver Award winner from Readers’ Favorite, and The Tenth Nail both received the Gold Award from Literary Titan Book Review. The Gold Award is given to books “found to be perfect in their delivery of original content, meticulous development of unique characters in an organic and striking setting, innovative plot that supports a fresh theme, and elegant prose that transforms words into beautifully written novels.” Many of Kwen’s books have received the Gold Award from Literary Titan. In addition, The Law of Moses was awarded five 5 Star Reviews from the reviewers of Readers’ Favorite.

Excerpt
2:

When she opened
the door to her apartment, her stomach sank. A dim square of light flickered in
the hall outside her bedroom door. Yikes! Was I actually dumb enough to have
left candles burning? Alma was scolding herself for having been dangerously
spacey when she realized that the light from her room did not come from any
sort of flame.
It came from
Bart. He was standing beside her bed in his high-collared, loose-fitting shirt
and his knee britches. And that was … not really strange at all. Just the
friendly, resident ghost. No danger of burning down the house. A relief—and
Alma had to be honest with herself—a pleasant surprise.
“Good evening,
m’lady,” he said.
Alma opened her
mouth to say hello back—and burped, instead. A Garbage Pie burp was an
impressive burp. “Oh, wow. Excuse me.”
Bart chuckled as
she dropped her purse in the chair next to her dresser.
“Rich dinner?”
“A Garbage Pie,”
she said. “It sounds awful, but it’s—you know what pizza pie is, right?”
“The previous
residents of this apartment ate little else. I know well what Garbage Pies
are,” he said. “I do not fear them.”
Then he stepped
in front of Alma and slipped his arms around her, something else that should
have been shocking but wasn’t. Just the resident ghost, after all. The resident
ghost who can really kiss. Bart’s touch tingled with cold fire.
“Well, hello,”
Alma said.
“I missed you,”
said Bart, then he put his mouth over hers and kissed her. She felt something
feathery—his chest touching hers--and she nearly dissolved into it. His tongue
was cool in her mouth, and full of sparks. He tasted almost sweet.

About the Author:

Aletta Thorne believes in ghosts.  In her non-writing life, she is a choral singer, a poet, a sometimes DJ, and a writer about things non-supernatural.  But she’s happiest in front of a glowing screen, giving voice to whoever it is that got her two cats all riled up at three AM.  Yes, her house is the oldest one on her street.  And of course, it’s quite seriously haunted (scared the ghost investigator who came to check it out).  She is named after a little girl in her family who died in the late nineteenth century, at the age of two. The Chef and the Ghost of Bartholomew Addison Jenkins is her first romance.

Interview with Aletta Thorne
Where do you get inspiration for your stories?
They say there are planners and pants-ers in fiction, and I am a pants-er.  I start out with a premise, throw my characters into it, and let the story happen.  I tend to write about things I know well because there’s a depth of knowledge you can’t fake with a Google search!  Fortunately, I’ve done a lot of strange things to make a living—and I have been a chef, like the main character in The Chef and the Ghost of Bartholomew Addison Jenkins.
How did you do research for your book?
My story is set in 1982, so I was constantly online, filling in my memory with exactly what videos were on MTV then and looking at news photos from the time to make sure I remembered the clothing right.  Some of it actually wasn’t too awful!  For the alcoholic art professor ex-husband, I talked to a bunch of friends of mine who are illustrators and artists about what kind of large-format painting that awful character might have been doing in 1982, and how he would have achieved a fair amount of success at it.
Do you have another profession besides writing?
Writers NEED to have another profession!  I am a retired schoolteacher.  I taught writing and English in the public schools for many years.  When I was in my thirties, I was a chef, like the main character in my novel.  And I have dabbled in music for many years, too.  Currently I sing in my husband’s choir, and DJ at Area 24 Radio, an internet place I run with my friends.
If you could go back in time, where would you go?
I think I’d like to see a few periods.  I’d like to see my house right after it was built in the year 1740!  It really is that old.  When we rehabbed the place, we found a lot of clues as to what it must have looked like, but how cool would it be to see its first inhabitants!  I’d also love to spend a little time in the late 19th century.
What is your next project?

I write poetry and YA fiction as well as romance under another name.  In fact, The Chef and the Ghost of Bartholomew Addison Jenkins is my very first for-adults novel.  I’m working on both a YA book and a romance about an older heroine, a ghost, and a tiny house right now.  And I have a poetry book called Unforgetting coming out on Kelsay Books in the spring of 2018.
