An Anthology of the Seven Deadly Sins

Genres: Horror, Supernatural,
Paranormal,
Sci-Fi, Suspense/Thriller

Taglines: Because sometimes, the
virtuous are as frightening as the sinful…

About
the Anthology

Sins will weave you into their
webs. They become the Vice you’re unable to shake. There are the values, taught
from birth, which ride a razor’s edge. They turn into Dark Virtues, a twisted
mockery of their true meaning.

Pride, envy, lust, gluttony,
anger, greed and sloth all have their place in the tapestry of life. They are
the Vices who lost sight of the Virtues: charity, temperance, forgiveness,
humility, kindness, chastity and diligence.

Enter the worlds where the tales
of the most sinful of Vices and the darkest of Virtues will entice and intrigue
you…

…for even among the most devout
there is a dark side.

SINS
OF THE FLESH (Gluttony)
BY
STACEY BROADBENT

It was a balmy Spring evening
when I first discovered a taste for human flesh. It was a happy accident
really. After having my heart broken one too many times, I'd abstained from any
type of physical relationship with a man for years, so when one fell in my lap,
it came as quite the surprise.

EXCERPT SINS OF THE FLESH:
Throwing
caution to the wind, I slipped my feet into a pair of runners and walked down
the road, telling myself it was to clear my mind. But really, I was on the prowl
for fresh meat. Someone vulnerable—easy prey. I had to be smart about it; it
was broad daylight after all.
Every
person who walked past became a possible target. In my mind’s eye, I pictured a
computer log for each one, listing their attributes. Having limited knowledge
on the ins and outs of cannibalism, I had no idea what the perfect body type
was for consumption. Would it matter if they were male or female? Was it better
if they were lean and muscular, or was a layer of padding more flavourful? How
was I to choose?
Turns
out, I didn’t need to think about it at all. On my walk back home, I was
knocked off my feet by a man out for a jog. He’d been too busy flicking through
the playlist on his phone to see me, and by the time we’d both looked up, it was
too late. We collided, my forehead into his chin and mouth. My hands
automatically went up, pressing against his chest and sending us both bouncing
off each other, landing on our behinds. Apologising profusely, he offered me
his hand and pulled me to my feet. The impact had left a red egg on my head and
skinned my palms raw. He, however, came across a little worse for wear,
sporting a newly chipped tooth, and fat, bleeding lip. As soon as I got a whiff
of the blood on his breath, I knew, he was the one.
I
pointed to my house across the street, inviting him in to clean up while he
called the emergency dentist. It was the least I could do.
Ushering
him into the bathroom, I had him perch on the edge of the bath while I rummaged
through the cabinet for the first aid kit. I needed to knock him out somehow.
There was no way I could do this without it… unless…

A
MILLION CLAY WOLVES (Greed)
BY
AMBER K. BRYANT

Living in a squalid encampment in
the shadows of a towering city, a young woman able to endow objects with
magical powers struggles with her brother's growing determination to use her
gift for his own selfish means.

EXCEPRT A MILLION CLAY WOLVES :
“Do
you remember Jamey? Has a tattoo of a whale on his right arm, wears a red and
white striped tank top—Sound familiar?”
Mora nodded. “He juggled knives and guns.”
“That’s
right. Jamey is my boyfriend and we’re very happy, only… He has this crazy idea
that he should give up the troop, join the army instead. He thinks it would
provide a better life for us, but he’s wrong. This is the only life I want and
I don’t want it to change. I need you to change his mind.”
“What?” She took a step away from Dare. “I… I can’t do that!”
“You
don’t realize it, but you can. I saw it in you. The ability to endow magic. You
just needed a jumpstart, and yesterday…” she pointed to the feather, “I gave it
to you.”
Mora stared at the feather, still crumpled in her hand.
“Tell
the feather that Jamey’s place is with me. In the troop. Tell the feather it
needs to change Jamey’s mind. Go on.”
Mora
lifted the feather halfway to her face, then paused. This would never work.
Clearly circus life had taken its toll on Dare’s mental health. Or perhaps
unstable people were attracted to the quirky life the troop seemed to lead. It
was silly to give in to Dare’s demands. Then again, if she didn’t do it,
perhaps Dare would become so angry, she’d bust out of her purple corset and
become a rage-fueled She-Hulk. Perhaps the simplest way out of this situation
was to tell the feather to become a mind-changer and then get the hell out of
there.
“Fine,
whatever.” She brought the feather to her lips and blew words into it. “Change
Jamey’s mind. Make him stay. Oh!” She jumped as a tingling sensation moved
through her body, from the soles of her feet up her legs and spine, then out to
the tips of her fingers and into the feather. “What… what just happened.”
Dare’s
face went back to its friendly older sister mode. “Exactly what I thought
would. Thank you, Mora.” She took the feather back from Mora and pinned it into
her dark, shimmering hair. “Wiser people than me would tell you to be careful
with this gift of yours. Magic can be used for good or for evil. It doesn’t
care which, most of the time.”
Confused,
Mora toyed with a stray thread from the hem of her t-shirt. “But you’re… not
telling me to be careful?”
Dare
grasped Mora’s chin and tilted it so their eyes met. “We don’t find out what
we’re capable of through advice.” She gave Mora’s face a tiny squeeze and then
let her go. “Trial and error, darlin’."

DO
NO HARM (Charity)
BY
J.M. BUTLER

What if someone offered you
exactly what you needed?

Ethics and vampirism hardly go together,
and Aestan has concluded he is trapped between two bad situations. A chance
meeting with his neighbor Summer changes everything as she offers the solution
to his problems. He can have her blood. She's more than happy to give it if it
keeps him from robbing blood banks or killing people. Though at first he is
relieved, he soon realizes that even what is freely given may yet have
consequences he does not desire.

EXCERPT DO NO HARM:
"Summer...I can't take your
blood."
"Yes, you can. And if I were a
stranger, you would. But we're friends."
"Friends?" Aestan couldn't
suppress the sharp laugh. She had an oddly vague definition of friendship.
Surely this was a joke. Summer finished the prep and took a deep breath.
"Yes, of course we are. Now...don't
attack me or anything, okay?" She stuck the needle into her arm and balled
her hand up before flexing her fingers and clenching again. "I can't let
you have the blood we collected for the drive, but I can let you have some of
mine. And then you know...we can start looking for some substitutes."
Words failed Aestan as he watched. A
tantalizing scent rose from the glass, thick, slightly metallic. How could she
be serious? Was he dreaming?

A
SINGLE MIND (Pride)
BY
ALANA DELACROIX

Neil Clarins is a very important
man with very important research.  He
could save the world.  And he won't let
anyone stand in his way.

EXCERPT A SINGLE MIND:
Neil straightens his back and keeps his
hand away from his pocket. He’s right. His work is good and more than that,
it’s needed. The entire world is about to go up in flames. The environment is a
mess. People are fucking dying and what he has in his lab will save them. No
way he’s going to let some petty bureaucrat like Mike Bell get in his way.
And if using his own brain as a testing
ground is the way it has to be done, so be it.
Knowing he’ll be out for at least a day, Neil
puts messages on all his corporate tethers: email, messenger. I’m sick, it
says. Sorry, back soon.
He goes to his room and shaves off a small
patch of hair. Underneath, the skin that’s never seen the sun is a sickly
white-green. He swabs his temple with a topical anesthetic and sits on the bed
for a long time, staring at the syringe with its small bolt gun mechanism, so
like the one used to kill cattle. He has no idea if he’ll be able to walk after
the injection and he doesn’t want to pass out in the bathroom. Too much risk of
injury.
Neil takes a deep breath, then another. He
thinks of the other scientific greats. Salk and the polio vaccine. Newton
digging around his own eyeball with a bodkin.
Then, before he can think any more, he
thrusts the needle against the side of his head and pulls the trigger.

HELL'S
MATCH (Kindness)
BY
ARIA PEYTON

In my world, too many people are
lonely. So out of the kindness of my heart I help them. Those who want someone
by their side forever get it. Only they never read the fine print and forever
means just that.

EXCERPT
HELL’S MATCH:
In a sinuous motion, Cheshire slides off the
machine and backs away, book held out in front of her in a warding-off gesture.
Anger fuels her when she speaks. “Am I being set up? Did you follow me here?
What’s going on?”
I know better than to move, so I stay put, my
body jerking with the motion of the tub beneath me. “No, of course—” The rest
of the sentence dies at her raised brow and sceptical glare. “Yes. I followed
you here.” I act all resigned to this fact but surge on when she tries to
interrupt. “But only because Grandmother asked me to make contact with you, and
when I got to your apartment, you were already on your way here. I was so
intrigued by how you rebuffed her on the phone last night, I had to meet you
myself.”
I may have just painted myself into a corner here
as I watch the thoughts swirling in her head. I’ve given her too many
inconsistencies to process and I know she’ll have a question for each one. But
I already have the answer, and realistically, so does she.
“How did she know where I live? How the hell did
she know what I look like? And how the fuck did you think this would look,
stalking me into the damn laundromat?!” Her voice gets louder and squeakier
with each word until others here start backing away. Soon the place is empty
and Cheshire is alone here with me. The predator within can’t believe its luck,
while the other side of me is fascinated that she didn’t run with everyone
else.
“You spoke to her last night. What did she know
about you then, huh?”
The glare eases a little, but she still keeps her
distance. “Too much is what she knows. I’d love to know what little tricks she
has up her frock sleeves to know so much without a word.”
“It’s just her ability. Some would call her
clairvoyant or psychic.”
“Or just plain freaky,” she mutters under her
breath.
“Or that.” I release a chuckle to lessen the
tension hovering between us. Even though it’s refreshing to have a normal
conversation with someone, the urgency to get her back to the office of
‘Madame’ still hangs over me. She’s the next match to be made and that contract
needs to be signed.

About
Aria Peyton:

EVELYN
BY
QT RUBY

Dr. Evers says the only way for
Evelyn to be free is to remember her past, but is that really such a good idea?

EXCERPT EVELYN:
“Why am I restrained? There is no escape
from this room.”
Dr. Evers releases a little sigh. “For my
protection.”
“Against?”
“You.”
“Me? What could I do to you?” She waits to
respond. I’m unsure if it’s because I have to remember like she said before, or
she’s just a withholding bitch. “You will remember. So . . . please, continue.”
I sigh and growl a little. “My family . . .
they loved me.”
Dr. Evers writes down my words.
“But they were afraid of me.”
“How do you know?”
“Because . . .” I pause to remember, to
allow memories to solidify, sharpen. “Because I used to harm things.”

BY

herself captivated by Raiden and unaware of her place in the Cards of life.

EXCERPT A SORCERER'S
ROAD TO TEMPERANCE :
Her reaction to him was…extreme, unexpected
and intense…and she wondered in what other subtle ways Tempest would affect

find out either way.

I Broke Into His Office by Jessica Frances blitz

I Broke Into His Office
Jessica Frances
(Love at First Crime #4)
Publication date: December 17th 2017
Genres: Adult, Romance, Suspense

He broke into his office, and had his heart stolen in return.

I broke into his office,

But I didn’t have a choice.

So what if he is good-looking?

So what if he is single?

So what if he is my type?

Why should it worry me that he could easily overpower me?

Who cares if what I’m doing is wrong and illegal?

I can’t second-guess myself, even if there is the possibility of more between us.

The risk is too great.

The threat all too real.

Unfortunately, my life is about to implode,

And the least of my problems is an irate private investigator.

When old threats return,

And new threats—mainly four scary women—attack,

The best thing I can do is just keep my head down and ride it out.

Then, why can’t I stop thinking about him?

Why do I find him so irresistible?

And what happens if I make one mistake and lose him forever?

Because this is quickly becoming far more than either of us could have ever imagined,

And the life and death stakes mean neither of us can mess up.

I can’t believe breaking into his office has led to all this.

Then again, as some people say: there is nothing quite like love at first … crime.

Goodreads / Amazon

EXCERPT:

“It’s dark out here,” he grumbles.

I feel a little warmer hearing the concern in his voice.

“I make sure all the workers leave in groups. No one is allowed to walk out here alone, and we have an open group chat where everyone writes in once they get home safely,” I assure him, never having a problem in the four years I have had this restaurant. Everyone knows my rules. Even the lunch staff adhere to them.

“How about you?” he asks, tightening his arm around my shoulders.

“I sometimes leave with the others, but …” I give a small shrug. “I only live around the corner,” I finally explain.

I understand why Harvey is bringing this up since he’s all about protection and noticing dangers, but what I don’t expect is that the one night I walk home with Harvey is also the night we are jumped.

Hands grip us both, separating us as three dark shapes surround us. I barely see a thing before a foot connects with my knee and I lose my balance. Then I’m kicked in the chest, losing my breath, only to then be hit in the face hard enough to see stars.

I try to think through my panic, my body shaking as I hold up my hands to protect my face from the next hit, but it doesn’t help when I’m dragged backward and thrown into a wall.

My back hits the hard surface before I collapse. The snow soaks into my clothes as I feel a surge of anger rush through me.

I leap to my feet and clock the guy who threw me. He clearly isn’t expecting it and is furious when I make contact. However, he is built like a tank, and though I do knock his face to the side, his actual body doesn’t move an inch. My hand, marginally protected by my glove, aches from the impact.

I gulp, feeling way over my head, and spare a glance to Harvey, who seems to be holding his own better than I am, fighting two men.

The next second, I’m shoved back against the wall, a hand over my throat. He isn’t holding me tight enough to choke me, just forcing me to stay in place.

I kick the guy in the shins, attempting to knee his groin, but he leans back. Then something sharp scrapes my cheek, and I freeze.

“What do you want?” I wheeze out, still struggling to breathe after the hit to the chest. “My wallet is in my pocket,” I offer, dread building inside me when I consider this is a mugging.

“I’m not after your money,” the man snarls, his face in shadows.

“What do you want, then?”

“See your boyfriend over there?” he asks, leaning back so I see Harvey on the ground, one man holding him down while another punches him in the gut.

“Let him go!” I shout, fearful because he’s no longer fighting.

“He had a hit out on him—a hundred large for anyone who could kill him—but that disappeared a few hours ago,” he explains while I struggle to follow. “Mr. Conway wiped the hit off. But he wanted you to see how easy it is to get to you both. He wanted you to see how simple it would be for me to take this knife”—he drags the sharp edge across my cheek, cutting me and causing warm liquid to spill down my face—“and shove it through his heart.”

“No,” I beg, to which he laughs like he finds this conversation amusing.

“Don’t worry, little fairy; your boyfriend isn’t dead … yet.” His voice turns sharp.

I hold my breath, waiting to hear what the condition is, because I know there is going to be one.

“Mr. Conway is going to call you soon. Make sure you answer it.” With that, he pushes off me, and I collapse back down to my ass. He whistles at the other two men, and they step away from Harvey, who immediately curls into a ball, groaning. Then they all sprint out of the parking lot and out of sight as I try to get my shit together.

EXCERPT:

Was Alexander dreaming? Was Olivia Moore kissing him? He refused to wake up, ever! As he was about to deepen the kiss Olivia moved away with an expression that told him she had acted on impulse and regretted it.

“The problem with you seems that you’re too modest. You should stop hiding the real you and transfer that confidence,” she nodded towards the podium, “into your personal, romantic life.” She said it in a breathy way as if she was trying to compose herself and was determined to sound professional. But she could not hide the flush of pleasure she had obviously shared during the too-short few seconds of their kiss.

He was growing wings of hope. Maybe she felt more for him than merely as a Samaritan for a doofus client.

“The food’s good, you want to stay awhile?” Perhaps he could muster up some courage to dance with her. She would do it in the name of her ‘responsibility’ to help him.

She nodded. A few minutes later she said, “You obviously have quite a lot of public speaking experience and a huge following.” Her eyes sparkled with respect. “I had no idea you’ve traveled so extensively. I’m beginning to wonder if you really need my help, and if you really are that shy in your personal life.”

Suddenly all he wanted was to tell her the truth about everything. This was his perfect opportunity. About why he was in town, why he had wanted her ‘help’ and about the non-existent Jessica.

The woman I want to woo is you! All I want is you, Olivia, just the way you are. Perfect.

But his throat closed up and he shook inside. Misunderstanding his reaction, the sensitive Olivia touched his hand again and said, “Don’t worry, I’m here. You’ll do just fine tomorrow. Just take some of the energy and drive you had up there,” Olivia pointed to the podium, “and you’ll sweep Jessica off her feet.”

Was that fleeting jealousy he saw within her expressive eyes, or was it his wishful thinking?

As they enjoyed the delicious menu, the pleasure of having her in his arms as they danced was marred by his cowardice. He was not only frustrated with himself but the heat and the rightness of being together fanned his hunger for her and impatience with himself. He wanted to kiss Olivia and hold her so tightly instead of merely dancing with her. He wanted to explore every curve and crevice of her gorgeous body, and quench the desire within him.

What would it take to grow a backbone? Why could he face an army of opposition and controversy in his business, and clam up in front of the soft, generous Olivia?

And what if he was misreading her emotions? Be positive, damn it.

What if by some miracle his purging admission was met by her reciprocating his feelings? What if she also felt their physical attraction and emotional synchronicity? All his brothers had found their own true love; what if Olivia was his one and only?

But he was not the purging type. Despite having meant every word about being fortunate in his family life, he now felt even more trapped within his lie. Olivia was a genuine person who deserved the truth.

What could he do now and not risk losing Olivia again?

Fairy Wishes 1-2-3 by Michele Barrow-Belisle

Fairy
Wishes 1-2-3
by
Michele Barrow-Belisle

Genre:
Children's Fantasy Picture Book

A
tale of two little fairies of different ethnicities, backgrounds and
environments, who are envious of the things the other gets to do…from
catching shooting stars to playing the guitar.

They
decide to trade places, but soon realize that being someone else
isn't as much fun as they thought. The girls quickly discover the
importance of just being themselves.

**.99
on Amazon!!

My Review:
This was such a wonderful book. It actually has a lesson and a good one at that. The book is about 2 very different Fairy's. Both are different in every way, color, where they live, and how they live. One day they decide they want to trade lives. They are envious of the others lifestyle, so they make their wish. Soon afterwards though they decide they miss their own lifestyle and want to trade back. Its a grass is greener type story.
Michele has done an amazing job with this story. It is written in rhyme and the kids loved it. The illustrations are fun, bold, and bright and really drew my little ones in.

A
dreamer at heart, Michele Barrow-Belisle has always lived with one
foot in this reality and one foot in another, one of her own
imagining. So it follows that she would grow up to write about and
sculpt the characters from those enchanting worlds she knows and
loves so well. As a fan of everything romantic, her young adult
novels are populated with witches and vampires and faeries. Michele
resides in southern Canada with her hubby and son who indulge her
passions for writing, reading, lattes, and most of all
chocolate.

She
also loves shoes.

Did
we mention the chocolate?

EXCERPT:

Rachel and Jamie

Guilty pleasure rippled through Rachel as she slowly relived the moments of yesterday’s lunch date with Brandon. A disturbing, mouth-watering vision of her ex-lover with only a deep chocolate brown bath towel precariously around his hips wafted into her mind. The coarse, dark hairs on his broad chest thick and manly… It was more tantalizing than the creamy wine and mushroom sauce Rachel was stirring at her stove. The simmering chicken morsels would be served on a bed of aromatic rice and vegetables, one of Jamie’s favourite meals. Her nipples became taut against her cotton top. The languid sensations swelled within her, making her lick her parched lips.

Phew, it was hot in the kitchen.

Their delicious Thai lunch had reawakened her fantasies of their younger escapades, even though on the most part Brandon had kept his word, dropping any mention of their history together.

Stop it. Leave those thoughts in the past where they belong.

Conjuring up Jamie’s image to replace the semi-clad Brandon, she hoped her husband’s mood had improved after their four whole days apart. He’d sounded like his usual self on the phone late last night, telling her of his flight details back from Aberdeen, with no reference to their argument. His work was obviously on the forefront of his mind.

Rachel’s pulse skipped erratically at the sound of Jamie’s key in the front door, then it opened and closed.

She nearly dropped the wooden spoon as he came into the kitchen. She recognized the expression on his face, seeing something alien, dangerous in his tired eyes, the set of his tight stubble-darkened jaw.

He strode towards her with purpose like a coiled spring kept in check within him. His determined expression heated her even more than her earlier musings. The bubbling aromas of the fragrant casserole were ignored. Her thudding heart sent her blood rushing to her ears as he ate up the final step between them and reached out to her.

Silently he wrapped his arms around her. His firm, warm mouth followed where he was staring, at her parted lips. He kissed her as if he’d returned from a decade-long war and their every moment apart had been agony. Groaning, he pulled her even closer to himself, as if needing to be this close, this intimate, this fast.

“Rachel…” He said gruffly, “I’m sorry…I missed you.”

She dropped the spoon on the granite counter. His tense bear hug brimmed with promises of unbridled passion. She nuzzled against his familiar warmth, his strength.

Deepening their kiss as if the world was on the verge of collapsing, he sighed as his mouth moved to her cheek, grazing the hollow of her throat and collar bone. He tugged at the hem of her too warm top, moving his lips away from her long enough to pull the cotton fabric over her head.

The static crackled between them, entwining them.

Again, his warm lips roved to the crevice between her breasts, anticipation melting the pit of her stomach like molten caramel. He was raising her skirt, caressing her hips, buttocks, her thighs, all the time kissing her throat, shoulders and exposed parts of her swelling breasts.

Breathing shallowly, her heavy lids fluttering open, she became half conscious of the darkness outside the windows. Panic rose as she realized Jamie intended to make love right here, right now: Imagining him picking her up on to the counter like they’d done years before.

Her breath caught. “Jamie…”

Flushed, he looked at her as if through a fog, his breathing rough.

She wriggled round in his hold so she could turn off the flames under the bubbling saucepans with shaky fingers.

“The bed.” He said as she turned back to him and nodded slightly.

Jamie’s smouldering expression sent shivers akin to fear through her already ready and hot body. She gasped as with one arm around her waist and the other under her knees, he effortlessly picked her up against his rising and falling chest. She felt tiny, feminine and safe.

Arms tightly around his neck, she welcomed his grating stubble of his hard jaw against her left cheek and temple. She inhaled his familiar male scent of car leather and subtle body cologne that still clung to him. His fast heartbeat sounded like an ancient drum as they escalated to their haven.

Rachel was exhilarated to feel his erection against her side as he gently let her feet touch the bedroom floor. A sliver of light from the hall illuminated Jamie’s strong body as he loosened and yanked his tie off. Shucking off his shoes, he unbuttoned and threw off his shirt, unbuckled his belt and shed his remaining clothes off in short, smooth, sharp movements. All the while his glazed eyes concentrated on Rachel’s face and contours. Her hungry eyes enjoyed the play of his muscles and his need for her as she unzipped her skirt and let it puddle by her feet.

Naked and fully aroused, he stopped her fingers from what he obviously wanted to do. He unhooked her bra and separated the straps off her shoulders down her arms. Then Jamie softly tugged at her panties. She loved the slight scraping sensations against her thighs and legs as he freed her of her last piece of clothing. He kneeled into her abdomen and she felt his lips and tongue kiss, suck and lave at the sensitive skin around her navel.

She groaned and was afraid she would fall.

Strong fingers moulded her hips down to her thighs and up towards her waist. Then standing he urgently but gently pulled her into him. His warm chest and arm muscles were hard, stimulating her bare flesh where they connected. His fervour made her want him even more.

His hot breath stimulated the sensitive folds of her ear, as he lowered his mouth and licked and sucked ever so tantalizingly at one of her most erogenous spots on the side of her neck. Goosebumps multiplied as his mouth continued downward to capture one breast, then the other, with his slow yet persistent tongue and fingers.

Her nipples hardened to attention, her breathing becoming shallower and faster. She forked her shaky fingers through his thick hair, manoeuvring his head to catch his mouth with hers, honey-like need swelling within her womb. Wet and ready for him.

Just as her knees weakened he picked her up and lay her on the bed against cool, silk-soft sheets.

Not breaking eye contact he dipped his head again to her breasts, further lavishing his tongue and lips around each areola and the curves of her breasts. Worshipping them. Until she wanted to scream with impatience and agonizing pleasure. Again, he trailed warm kisses towards her quivering tummy, circling her navel until she thought she’d die from the erotic tension escalating within her. And then his lips descended to her pubic bone.

Her breath catching in her throat she knew she was about to combust with unbearable pleasure. Her emotions and over-sensitized, fevered skin of every part of her body was on high alert.

He parted her legs with sure, caressing fingers and lowered his tongue to her inner thighs, and then to her moist centre. She held her breath. He licked her as if she were an exotic fruit he’d hungered for all his life. He watched her staring at him before the pleasure took over everything.

She lay back, melting against the now too hot sheets.

She took in a much needed breath and then let it out. She raised her head to look at Jamie and the intense desire in his smile brought a myriad of feelings, of letting go of her remaining self-control. Jamie was king of her body and soul, and she loved it.

As delicious pleasure within her obliterated any conscious thought she surrendered wholly to the unrivalled ecstasy. Thrumming with waves of unrelenting rapture, at the mercy of her husband’s hands and mouth, her deep moans escalated into heavy low panting cries. Again and again. Until she couldn’t bear to be the only one within the orbit of such bliss.

Drawing her shaky, almost elastic body up she pulled Jamie’s head so he slowly rose above her. Leaving a trail of hot kisses on her jellied belly, her ribcage, right breast and neck, he stared down as he was finally above her. Supported on his elbows he kissed her deeply and again lowered his mouth to one nipple then the other. He groaned apparently in the same volcanic pleasure world he’d taken her to.

“Jamie, I need you inside me. Now. Please.” Her pleas came out desperate and wanton.

As he braced himself over her she couldn’t bear the split-second separation. She kneaded his straining biceps and shoulders as he manoeuvred himself between her legs. She luxuriated in the feel of his hard torso, rising and falling against her. Welcoming him, she wrapped her quivering legs around his waist and lower back and anticipated another full-fledged climax they were about to share together.

His erratic breathing rough, at last he entered her, slow but hard and steady, bringing another gasp of delight from Rachel. She smiled and then laughed with joy from such completeness in being in Jamie’s arms, inhaling his distinct scent now mingled with their lust and need. Her hungry fingers explored his sinewy shoulders and his straining back muscles, tightening her legs around his taut buttocks. She wanted him so deep inside her that she’d forget where her body stopped and his began.

She matched his every urgent thrust. His pleasure-filled eyes looked into hers as if needing to confirm she was in the same heaven he was.

Once again letting herself go, moaning out his name, she climbed the tip of the most exhilarating orgasm she’d ever had. She rose to new found depths, riding wave after joyous wave of bliss. Until she felt tears rolling down her temples and hairline. Her heart palpitated so erratically she was sure she’d die from too much love.

“Yes, Jamie, yes. I love you so much.” She whimpered.

Jamie’s laboured breathing matched hers. They were so attuned to each other’s needs. He looked down at her again this time as if he was seeing her for the first time in years. He groaned and then arched his back as if in blessed release. His sure strokes now forced her head closer towards the headboard. Their sweat-sheened torsos and limbs as well as their interlaced fingers bound them together.

Loving her soul mate’s heavy, pulsating body in and over her, to Rachel breathing right now was overrated.

“I love you….too.” He said almost inaudibly into her ear as their rollercoaster ride eventually calmed to a slow, throbbing, lulling stop.

Minutes passed and rolling beside her Jamie pulled her tighter to himself, into the magical chasm of their love. Their vibrating bodies sated. For now.

They had always had passion between them but not this heightened, frantic desire. Rachel smiled, her eyes shut as she nuzzled herself deeper into her husband’s embrace.

Life outside this room didn’t exist. Rachel realized that neither Brandon or her obsession with wanting to get pregnant had been on her mind since Jamie had entered the house.
