Bad Princess by Julianna Keyes blitz

Bad Princess
Julianna Keyes
Publication date: November 27th 2017
Genres: Adult, Comedy, Romance

Notorious for leaping off roofs, maiming foreign royals, and that twerking incident, Brinley Cantrella of Estau is nobody’s definition of a good princess. She’s fearless and bold, not good and gracious. And after a lifetime of being told she’s unfit to be queen, wearing the crown and helping to usher Estau into a new era is the one dream she’s never dared chase.

But when her older sister abdicates the throne, all Brinley has to do to inherit the role is not twerk, not maim anybody, and definitely not get caught fooling around topless with Prince Finn, her childhood crush, the only man she’s ever loved…and her sister’s former future husband.

Finn embodies the definition of good. Tall and handsome, serious and honorable, he always does the right thing—including agreeing to marry his ex’s sister to cover up this latest scandal. Brinley has fallen down stairs, broken teeth and broken bones, but this is the first time her heart has ever been broken. She now has the crown and the prince, and on the surface, life is good—but is being married to a man everyone swears could never love her back good enough?

EXCERPT:

For Brinley, the girl who had spent her life exploring every forbidden nook and cranny, crawling under desks and peering behind paintings, the castle was very much her home. For Elle it had been a jail cell. Her perfect behavior had been that of a model prisoner, biding her time, waiting to break free. And now she had fled and left the world with—

“Brinley,” King Edric said. He rose from his seat where he waited with her father in the formal sitting room. He buttoned his perfectly tailored jacket and nodded politely. “How lovely to see you again.” The words were polite, but the man himself was cold and impersonal, his pale hair and eyes a visual representation of the permanent frost in his voice.

“And you,” Brinley replied, extending her hand for him to kiss. No matter the modern ideology of the kingdoms, some traditions never waned. She kept her eyes on his, her crooked smile bright and cheerful, even as she almost died from the effort required not to look at Finn, who stood just behind his father, calmly waiting his turn to greet her.

Edric finally released her and Finn took his place, taking her hand and pressing his lips to her knuckles. A roaring fire burned brightly behind him, but that was not the thing that made Brinley’s cheeks flush.

“Princess,” he said formally. Everything Finn did was formal. Everything about him from his carefully coiffed hair and his straight features to the brass buttons on his jacket and the tassels on his epaulets was formal. He was so stiff and handsome, but instead of off-putting Brinley found it incredibly tempting, the way she found the castle’s forbidden secret passageways tempting. She wanted to explore him. She wanted so desperately to see those carefully chiseled features crack a smile when it was not called for, to hear him laugh, curse, moan.

But even as she wished for it, she knew it would never happen. Elle may not have reciprocated his feelings, but Brinley had little doubt that he had cared deeply for her sister. It was mandated, after all, and Finn was very much a dutiful prince, one who always followed orders and never his heart.

Yumoyori Wilson
(Starlight Gods #2)
Publication date: November 10th 2017
Genres: Adult, Paranormal, Romance
I failed…
My name is Ryder Carter, future heir of Realm Five, Minato.
I was destined to do great things, to walk alongside my fellow star knights, as we desperately searched for the woman who would lead our galaxy to salvation.
My spirit and I had failed her once, unable to prevent the chain of events and challenges she’d faced for sixteen cycles. Then, we finally found her – alive.
Within two rotations, she’d blossomed into a beautiful rose – such delicate petals, filled with purity and life. My mission was to guide her home, to where she truly belonged, as our Princess and saviour from the approaching darkness. She was more than just our Princess; I loved her with all my heart.
But…I failed. My once perfect rose, damaged by my failures. Would she ever forgive me, her star knight who’d sworn to protect her? Will I ever get the chance to tell her how much she means to me…to us?
Only the Starlight gods can tell. Please…bring my Firefly home.
~In Stars We Trust~
Tainted Rose is Book Two in the new, paranormal reverse harem series.

Recommended for 18+ audience, containing mature sexual content and strong language.
EXCERPT:
“Mako? Are you sleep walking again?” Ryder’s voice made me relax as I rubbed at my eyes.
“Ryder, why did you guys put a wall in the middle of the hall? It’s blocking me from food.” I whined.
“There’s our Firefly.” Marcus praised, chuckling.
“I can’t believe she actually called Kai a wall.” Daniel mused, his voice sounded thick with sleep.
“Kai?” I asked, opening my eyes just as the apparent wall, turned around, brilliant amber eyes locking on me. I gawked at the sight; my heart raced at the new shifter before me.
He was six feet for sure, maybe only an inch away from Marcus’ height. His wind-blown, coiffed hair was a stunning orange. Holy Starlight, a GINGER!! Like those hot guys in the fashion magazines.
He smiled, his perfectly straight, white teeth making an appearance, only adding to his forbidden sexiness. I wonder if Adam in the bible was this good looking. Maybe that’s why that Eve shifter went and took that apple.
“Princess, that’s not how it went in the bible, but I’m pleased with your admission of liking my ginger hair.” He approved; his calm voice enough to soothe any shifter.

His dreams are put to the test when a supernatural entity threatens to ruin everything. The one bright spot is the woman who intrigues his mind and heats his blood.

If only he can convince her that, despite his bad boy ways, he can change for the good. Her love becomes his only salvation. Passion burns white-hot as a dark threat looms. The ghost doesn’t want them to be together and sets her sights on Thayne, luring him to a place that goes beyond death. Will Karly be able to save him before it’s too late?

Excerpt:
Karly made sure
to keep her head down, wanting to avoid another run-in. Her gaze skittered over
fallen leaves and flagstone tiles. Through the corner of her eye, she spotted a
man in a suit and a few servers. Her fingers tightened around her key chain
with every step, wanting to be far from the chaos of the evening.
She was almost
to the main street, when she bumped into a solid wall of muscle that threatened
to knock her on her ass. Her keys flew from her hands as she began to fall
backward. Before she hit the ground, two strong hands reached out and caught
her around the waist. She glanced up and into the gorgeous face of the god
she’d seen earlier.
Up close, he was
even more stunning and taller than she’d calculated. He exuded strength and
masculinity, and when he focused that intense magnetism on her, all the air
left her lungs, along with her ability to speak.
Genuine concern
flashed in his whiskey colored eyes. “I’m sorry. Are you okay?” His voice was
like warm chocolate, melting her insides. When he dropped his hands, Karly
could still feel the imprints on her skin.
“Y-yes, I’m
fine. I’m the one who should be apologizing. I wasn’t paying attention to where
I was going.” Her heart pounded wildly in her chest. The man smelled
incredible, like sandalwood and clean laundry.
“No need for
apologies. Maybe you should sit down for a minute and have a drink with me.”
There was elegance in the way he spoke that made her think of old money and
private school.
For a moment Karly
thought about taking him up on his offer, but she wasn’t in the frame of mind
to pull off light conversation or flirty banter at this point. “Thanks, but I
have to pass. This night, well, it didn’t turn out the way I’d hoped so I think
it’s my cue to go.” She did her best to school her features, but inside she was
feeling raw and vulnerable. The only thing she wanted to do was go home, soak
in a hot bath, and lick her wounds.
His searing gaze
swept over her and made butterflies flutter in her stomach “Perhaps I can make
it better. Stay and have a drink with me.”
Karly glanced at
his jacket for his nametag, but like her, he wasn’t wearing one. “I’m guessing
you’re in either sales or politics, and if this is all for a campaign donation,
I’m sorry, I already gave at the office.” Immediately she got a vibe telling
her he was his own boss, which wasn’t hard to figure out. The man exuded
confidence and power.
The throaty
sound of his laughter raised goose bumps on her flesh. “So you’re funny and
beautiful that’s quite a rare combo, Miss….?”
His words slid
over her like a warm caress. A flush spread across her cheeks. She shook her
head, a little dazed by the compliment. It would be hard not to succumb to his
charms. If she was honest, his scent alone was driving her crazy. No, the man
spelled danger. “I’m sorry. I should go. Good night and uh, nice running into
you.” She sucked in a breath, turned and took a step toward the street.
“I don’t think
you’ll get far without these,” he said in a bone-melting voice that forced her
to turn around. He held up her keys in his hand.
“Right. Thanks.”
She’d become so dazzled by his looks, she’d completely forgotten about them
flying out of her hands
“My pleasure.”
The way he said the word pleasure conjured images of their bodies tangled
together, rolling around in satin sheets. The air sizzled with sexual tension.
Slowly, he closed the distance between them and placed the keys in her hands.
She purposely avoided touching him, but his fingers grazed hers, sending a spark
of awareness up and down her arm.
“Don’t go,” he
whispered.
“Why?” Karly was
curious to hear what he’d say next.
“I can’t let you
disappear into the night without telling me your name.” The words were spoken
in a commanding tone that normally would've irritated her, but for some reason
when he said them they hit every one of her buttons. “You can give me that much
can’t you? It’s not every day I meet someone that captivates me and you have,
quite thoroughly I might add.”
The scorching
heat in his gaze made her shiver. She swallowed and tried to regain her
equilibrium. It’d been a long time since a man had looked at her with such
blatant desire. “I’m impressed— that’s quite a pick-up line. I’m curious, does
it usually work?”
His smile was
pure sin. “I’m not using a line on you. I just want the chance to talk to you.
Give me five minutes, that’s all I ask.”
What happens
after that?” His charisma began to melt her resolve. Karly stole a glance at
his clothing. His sweater looked like cashmere and his suit jacket was
perfectly tailored and cut to fit his body, only adding to his commanding
presence.
“You decide. If
you want to continue the conversation, I get your number, if not, then we part
ways. No harm done.”
How could she
say no when his approach was so refreshing “Nothing like cutting to the chase.”
A guy that looked like him probably had women falling all over themselves to
get his attention. It didn’t take a psychic to glean the man was a player. He
was too smooth to be anything else. “Five minutes is all you get.”
“Five minutes is
all I need.” He was persuasive, not to mention cocky as hell and yet for some
reason she couldn’t seem to say no where he was concerned. Besides, his vibe
was positive and cool with no warning signs.

“You’re pretty
sure of yourself. Do you always get what you want?”

Author: Lorna Griess

Format: Ebook
This book is about living and working in a mobile army surgical hospital (MASH) in South Vietnam. It talks about the hospital itself, the setting, how we lived, how we coped with less-than-good circumstances, the type of patients we received, the equipment we worked with, and the emotional highs and lows that were part of every day. The stories are true. Some of the dates and numbers of things may be off a little; that was a long time ago. Names have not been used to protect the wonderful, dedicated people with whom I worked and lived with.
Lorna Griess made the Army Nurse Corps her career after her tour in Vietnam. She served in hospitals worldwide for almost thirty years. She retired as a full colonel and chief nurse at Letterman Army Medical Center on the Presidio in San Francisco (now closed).
