Excerpt-

Introduction

There are many
instances in life when we may wonder if we made the right choice when we came
to a crossroads. Different outcomes occur, depending on the path chosen.
I chose a
certain journey, and I encountered many obstacles along the way. In a way,
however, I feel as though the journey chose me.   I believe that things happen for a reason,
although I am not quite sure why.
This book is
based on a true story; every event described actually took place and the quotes
are verbatim. I have heard it said that truth is stranger than fiction. In that
case, this story is very strange indeed.
Rarely are good
stories about good things. Most stories are about struggles between good and
not-so-good. Conflict and strife make for good reading. People react to
different situations differently. This story will show you how I reacted to
mine. There is a significant message that I must tell. The story is true, but I
have changed the names of the people involved to protect their privacy.
Now, put your
trays in the upright position and fasten your seatbelts.

You are in for a
very bumpy ride!

About the Author:

I have heard it said that we are products of our environment. If that is the case, I consider myself in my own microclimate. Choices between right and wrong must be made, especially at one's crossroads. If it doesn't feel right, it is probably wrong. I try to think outside the box, even though I have felt like I have been trapped inside one. I live for life and the excitement it brings each day. I try to not let the events of the past cloud my experiences, even though there is still some residual effect. Learning and growing from my experiences is my ultimate goal, as well as to share those experiences with others. I am elated to share this story with you. I hope it will bring a sense of assurance that no matter what your situation brings, answers can be found if you look for them.

Pamela Aares' USA Today bestselling Tavonesi Series continues with another suspenseful, page-turning and heart-warming novel about the healing power of love.

Reclusive tech billionaire Evan Forbes finds himself lost and lonely in the secretive world he's cloaked around himself. He may have changed the way the world communicates with his innovative, high-tech businesses, but the language of the heart has brought nothing but pain.

When Evan meets the vivacious heiress Coco Tavonesi on a garden tour, she fires a spark of desire he can't resist. Pretending to be an ordinary computer geek, he conceals his true identity and accepts the thirty-dollar an hour job she offers, tracking down a hacker who's stolen her prized nature photographs. After years of hiding his famous name and his own incredible wealth behind a disguise, has he met the woman worth revealing himself to? Can he risk his heart?

Coco doesn't count on falling for the sexy techie, but when she playfully snaps a photo of Evan, his resulting anger triggers fears from her past. What does he have to hide? Is Evan the quirky, sweet geek he seems, or yet another fortune hunter using this chance to get close to her?

When Evan discovers that Coco is being hacked by a high-level genius, he's determined to bring the criminal down. But the hacker accesses Coco's photos of Evan and threatens blackmail and violence, and suddenly the secrets Coco and Evan have kept from one another endanger not only the love blooming between them, but their very lives.

Excerpt
Evan’s hand shook as he opened the passenger door for Coco. But instead of dropping the connection of their hands, she lifted up on her toes and tipped her face to his. The rush of want that he’d held at bay in the cafĂ© and on the short walk to his car exploded as he pulled her close and sealed his mouth to hers. The first touch of her tongue against his shot a flash of fiery need heating up his body.
She shivered as his hands tracked down her back over the smooth silk gown. When he cupped her curves in his palms, she moaned against his lips. He slid a hand under the edge of the low-cut back of her gown. The hitch of her breath at the touch of his fingers had him deepening the kiss with a hunger he couldn’t hold back.
But when he sensed a car approaching, his body went into alert mode. Instinctively he pulled away, shielding her body with his, blocking her from view.
She glanced at the approaching limo. “It’s Drake.”
“Then perhaps we had better head to your place. Or how about mine? We’d have more privacy. If Drake insists on following us there, he’ll have to park in the drive. My gardens separate the drive from the house.”
“Oh, he’ll follow. No one shirks Papa’s commands.”
Evan stroked a wisp of hair from her cheek. “Except you.”
“Except me. And even I’m beginning to respect his wisdom.” She slid into the passenger seat, pulling the gown close to her body and free of the door. “I’d like to see your place,” she said, her eyes darkening.
The flush coloring her cheeks told him all he needed to know.
Coco was quiet on the drive to his estate. With Drake’s headlights reflecting in the rearview mirror and Evan’s thoughts and hopes tumbling around in his head spurring on the want energizing his body, he’d have been hard-pressed to make even light conversation.
Drake followed them through the gate. But to Evan’s relief, he parked the limo about two hundred yards from the main entrance to the house.
Evan pulled up near the front door. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d used it. Maybe the day he’d moved in. The key slid into the lock, and he prayed the damned thing would work. As they entered the foyer, he suddenly felt self-conscious.
“I . . . Ah . . . I haven’t brought in much furniture,” he said as he surveyed the nearly empty foyer and imagined what the place must look like to her.
She laughed. “I didn’t come here to evaluate your furniture, Evan.” She wrapped her arms around his neck, tangling her fingers in his hair. “I came here to do this.”
There was a fury to her kiss, an energy that swept into him and screamed yes! Not breaking the contact of their lips, he scooped her into his arms and carried her toward the curved staircase.
When he reached the bottom stair, he broke contact with her lips. And felt like he’d been unplugged from the source of life itself.
But he wanted her permission. He wanted her to be sure. If he took her up to his room, he’d have a hard time letting her leave.
“I do have a bed,” he said, not knowing any other way to ask.
She stroked her finger along the edge of his jaw. “I was counting on it. But I can walk, you know.”
“There are twenty-four stairs.”
“Ah. Precise. Then I shall enjoy the journey.”
Her words supplied the green light he’d sought. She tucked her face to his chest. His blood pounded so fast that he had to concentrate as he mounted the stairs.
He kicked open the door to his bedroom and silently thanked Lily for insisting on shipping him a bed. A nice big bed.
A bed that had never been occupied by anyone other than him.
The thought stopped his progress across the room. If this night didn’t go well, if he screwed up, he was definitely moving to Tibet.
“Evan?”
The silk of her dress bunched in his hand as he slid Coco to her feet. As if they had a will of their own, his hands held fast at her waist, holding her close.
“I’m here.” He hauled in a breath, aware that not only was his heart pounding, but his erection strained against the waistband of his tux trousers. “All here.” He wanted to add all yours, but he didn’t want to freak her out.
She ran her hand under his tux jacket and then lower.
“Yes, I’d say you’re all here. But I’d better make sure with my own eyes. I’m a visual creature, as you know.”
What happened next, he couldn’t have predicted She stepped back and hooked her thumbs under the lapel of his jacket, slid it from his shoulders and down to the floor. She tore open the starched shirt, sending the studs flying across the room to ping as they landed on the marble floor. The tux was coming off much faster than it had gone on.

head2toes 2 PK Baseball Cap Washer

My husband always wears some sort of hat. Usually a ball cap style hat. He never goes anywhere without a hat on his head. He wears a cap at work all day everyday. These caps get nasty, both with dirt, grease, and lots of sweat, since we live in Florida. I have to wash his hats weekly. The problem with this is just tossing the hat in the wash machine and dryer tend to destroy the hats. Being splashed around in a washer is terrible on the hats, they get bent completely out of shape, the velcro on the back of the hat tends to stick to other items also in the washer, which also destroys the hat. A lot of hats have cardboard in the bill of the hat which also gets destroyed.

These baseball cap washers are awesome. There are 2 in the set. Each one is a 2 piece plastic cage. The hat fits over the bottom half and the top half works as a lid to enclose the cap fully in the cage. These cap washers are washer and dishwasher safe. These are said to work best in the dishwasher. Just put the hat in and lay on the dishwasher rack. In the washer you put the cage on exactly the same and toss in the washer. I personally do not put these in the dryer I just leave them in the cap washer and let them set to dry or take them out and hang them back on the hat rack to dry.

Jasonwell Giant Inflatable Unicorn Pool Float

I was totally shocked at just how huge this Unicorn is. I knew it was going to be a lot larger then any other pool toy I have had but WOW!! I actually blew this up in my bedroom with the air mattress air compressor. Then I liked to have not gotten it out of the room and out the door or off the porch.

This is 108.2 inches by 55 inches by 47 inches. Which is about 9 feet long by 4 1/2 feet by almost 4 feet. This is not for a kiddie pool, it's for a large pool. The float will hold up to 400 pounds or 2 adults. The float is made out of a soft rubber. It feels like laying on a air mattress.  There are 3 air spots. One in the seat area, one in the head/neck area, and one in the mane area. Like I said I used the air compressor from my air mattress to blow this up. There is no way I could of blown this up like a balloon. You will need some type of air compressor. I love the rainbow colored mane and tail. It really livens up this float with color.

The float also comes with a backpack. Great if you are going to a pool party or even to the beach or lake, and also for storing the float when not in use. This an awesome float and I love it. Very comfortable to lay on while floating in the pool.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Excerpt:

Ms. Anna turned her face up and started to kiss her, her knees holding Bella’s arms in place. “No touching unless I say,” Ms. Anna told her, kissing Bella once more, grinding harder against her. Bella started to feel something trickle down her lower lips, unsure whether it was from Ms. Anna or herself. Ms. Anna kept kissing her, her tongue pushing down Bella’s throat. Her body rubbing against Bella’s, the scars on Ms. Anna’s inner thighs strangely erotic. Bella started to sink into the mattress , letting Ms. Anna take what she wanted. Kissing Ms . Anna in return, gliding her tongue across Ms. Anna’s. Was her tongue getting longer? Holy hell, Bella whimpered as the tongue slid down her throat. Bella struggled against the unfamiliar sensation. “You agreed to let me do what I wanted,” Ms. Anna reminded her. “This is going to be your life from now until I release you. If I ever do.” Ms. Anna once more kissing Bella , sliding her tongue inside Bella’s throat once more.

Interview with Izzy Szyn
1. What is your favorite part of this book and why?
I think my favorite part of the book is when Bella is confronted with a life changing choice. I can’t say why, because it would spoil it.
2. If you could spend time with a character from your book whom would it be? And what would you do during that day? From this one? Hmmm can’t think of one. If it was a character from one of my books, I’d have to say Amy Wilson from Resurrection of Artemis.  I always thought it would be fun to be a superhero for a day.
3. If you could have been the author of any book ever written, which book would you choose?
Hmmm, since I write erotic, it would sway over to the naughty side. Wizard of Oz.
4. Are your characters based off real people or did they all come entirely from your imagination? Some of them yeah. In Phantasy House, my main character came from a background similar to the Westboro church group.
5. What made you want to become a writer? I’ve always had these stories in my head, but I kept denying they were there. I’d always been on the opposite side of the writing business, reviews, promos that sort of thing.
One night while at a chat that I moderate, there was someone who was describing her book. It was during the chat when a friend began to dare me to write. Then she kept sending me links from publishers looking for submissions.
I took the leap and decided to try, if they told me I sucked, then I’d give it up. They didn’t tell me I sucked.

EXCERPT:

In the back corner of the bar, there’s a woman tucked away from the revelry. Something about her makes me stop. At first, it looks like she’s laughing, but she wipes her eyes and I see she’s crying. Then she lifts her head, and I feel like one of the skis above the bar has kicked me in the gut. I suck in air, but I can’t seem to get any down. The room is spinning, and for a moment, I feel like I might pass out.

How can she be here? I step closer but keep hidden behind a group of older men, devouring pizza and beer, their faces chapped from the slopes.

It’s definitely her. Liv.

Why is she here and not in Manhattan with her husband? Is she on assignment? But she doesn’t write for the sports section. She’s a metro reporter and only writes about local news. There’s nothing local about this comp.

The air escapes my lungs in a rush when I spot Sam standing above the table where Liv sits. He’s been here a day, but he already has a touch of Raccoon face—white half-moons down his cheeks under his eyes, the bottom of his face pinkish from the sun and wind.

He slides into the booth next to Liv and puts his arm around her and pulls her in tight, comforting her. He kisses her head, and the love on his face is unmistakable. So is the pain. The pain of seeing her in pain.

His eyes glance up and widen in surprise when he sees me. I step back, bumping into a young man, his beer spilling down the inside of my sweater, the liquid cold against my skin.

I hurry out of the bar and rush back toward the lodge, but as I turn the corner, I hear Sam’s voice calling my name. A few moments later, his hand grabs hold of my arm, turning me around as his bright-blue eyes capture mine, as they always do, making my rapid breathing stop short.

“You’re early. You’re supposed to be coming in tonight,” Sam says. His voice sounds surprised but not upset. “Where’s your luggage?”

“At the hotel.” I step back, and he drops my arm. “What is she doing here?”

“Oh, she…” Sam rubs his hand over his face, considering something. “It’s…I don’t think she’d want me to say. She needs to escape her life for a while. She got some bad news.”

“Well that’s not your problem.” The words sound harsh, especially after I saw how upset she was. But what the hell is she doing seeking comfort from Sam? In Tahoe?! She has her own damn family. “You shouldn’t have to comfort her.”

“Catie, show a little compassion. Look, if I told you what was going on, you’d understand, but I promised her I wouldn’t say anything.”

“Compassion?!” I spit out, shocked at his words. “My whole life was flipped on its head and beaten to a pulp. My career is over, and I’m hanging on by a string here. I don’t have many people I can count on right now, but you should be one of them.”

“If I told you what’s going on, you’d understand.”

“Then tell me.”

His forehead crinkles, and worry sits on his face, showing his internal struggle. I can’t believe this. I can’t believe he’s standing there acting as if she has any right to him and his loyalty. He was going to propose, and she cheated on him. With his friend.

Unless…seeing her the other night sparked all the old feelings in him. It wouldn’t be the first time it’s happened. Doesn’t everyone have the-one-that-got-away somewhere in their past? Well, maybe not everyone, but lots of people do. And maybe Liv is the one. Not just the one that got away, but the one.
