Techno Torch Butane Refillable Triple Jet Flame Windproof

Nice triple flame torch. The outer casing is metal.  It comes without any fluid, but any butane in a spray can works to fill it. Has a lock on it, an adjustable flame, and a nice size trigger. It is windproof so can be used outdoors.

My husband is always working with something that needs a flame. I make candles and use torches a lot to melt areas of the candles in order to get a design. Plus I use torches in my kitchen while cooking. This torch will actually come in handy for all types of things around the house and on the go. It is a great size and light weight for putting in a back pack and taking camping to get a campfire going easily, being windproof you don't have to worry about wasting matches.

The torch comes in a very nice padded box. Would make a great gift for just about anyone, a handyman, a person who loves to cook, a crafty person, or an outdoors person.

The torch does have a lock on it. So it cannot be lit unexpectedly, but you should keep out of reach of children at all times. To fill the torch with butane turn it upside the fill hole is on the bottom, fill it just like any other lighter or torch.

Small Tree of Life Necklace on 18" Chain Handmade 7 Chakra Healing Gemstone

I love my new necklace. The tree of life pendant is about 1 1/8 inch across, it's a bit bigger then a US quarter. Inside of the pendants outer ring is a wire tree of life. The leaves are made from the 7 Chakra healing gems.

The stones are clear quartz, amethyst, lapis lazuli, green aventurine, citrine, red agate and redstone. The stones are small and there are more then one of each stone on the pendant.  The stones are very vibrant and bright. This necklace will go with just about any outfit and can be worn every where.

The Chain is 18 inches long and is silver plated. I have been wearing this for a few days now and so far it has not turned my neck green nor has the shine worn off the chain.

The necklace comes packaged in a nice bright orange velvet drawstring bag. This necklace would also make a nice gift for someone.  I am personally keeping mine, but may buy one especially for one of my daughters. She saw mine and loved it. I love that this necklace is handmade. Each of the stones are wired together by hand and attached to the pendant. Handmade means that no 2 wil be exactly alike so each necklace will be unique.

I received this at a discount  or free but am not required to write a review, but  I decided I should let people know about my experience with it.

Natural Wonders of Assateague Island Mark Hendricks

Absolutely stunning photographs in this book. The pictures are so vivid it almost makes you feel like you are seeing all the wildlife and nature in person. i would love to go the Assateague Island and see all the wonder of this place in person. Mark Hendricks has done an amazing job of introducing readers to the beauty with is stunning photos. I also enjoyed the short stories he added throughout the book. I never knew this Island used to be part of the mainland as part of Ocean City Maryland until a storm in 1933.
This is a fabulous book. Everyone who loves nature and wildlife should have a copy of this as part of their library.

I received this book from the Author or Publisher via Netgalley.com to read and review.

Young and innocent Raven Gables was strictly off limits, a fact Creed Lyons made sure to remind every surrounding male—including himself. Keeping her at arm’s length Creed was content to watch the young beauty from afar, but cruel fate always found a way to laugh in his face.

From the moment Creed arrived to rescue her, Raven knew the taciturn soldier covered in tattoos would change her life forever. Over the years he had become more than just a proxy “uncle” in her eyes, he was the dark-eyed man that haunted her dreams. The question was, would Creed ever see more than just a tragically orphaned schoolgirl?

Like family, it was his job now to care and look after her, but God help him he wasn’t prepared for this type of hell. There was only so much a man could take staring back at wide innocent eyes that begged the predator inside to devour her.

EXCERPT:

She looked down to the parking lot, seeing his Mustang still parked below, and knew she was about to lose it. She headed for her own room, placed the breakfast on the nearby table, then rid of every last drop of patience, began pounding on Tristan’s door.

“Wake up you lazy bastard! Wake up, or I swear to God I’ll beat this door down with my fists.”

A large boom sounded from inside the room, and Samantha smiled with satisfaction as she continued to pound. “That’s right,” she whispered. “Get up you lazy ass—”

But before she could finish her sentence, the door was yanked out from under her. She stumbled forward, barely able to catch her footing, and slammed face first into warm, solid, skin.

She froze, because the glimpse she caught on the way down wasn’t one she ever thought she’d see. It was a very large, very bare, and very “Good morning” version of Tristan Montgomery.

“Please tell me you’re not naked,” she whispered, but it was mostly to herself, because she didn’t really need him to answer. She squeezed her eyes shut, took one step backward, and turned around.

They both stood there, quiet and still, and she tried to recover her heart. The sight of Tristan in nothing more than his birthday suit left her feeling dizzy. She’d seen many naked men in her days, though until now, the only one she’d seen in person was Steven. Especially this close up.

“Well?” he finally asked, when she remained silent.

Well? Well… Tristan was much…larger than Steven. Much larger in every way imaginable.

She cleared her throat, knowing her voice would’ve cracked otherwise. “It’s ten in the morning,” she answered with more confidence than she felt.

“And?” But his voice was thick and husky, and she could swear he was having as difficult a time recovering as she was.

“It’s time to go.”

“Is it?”

“Yes,” she said, hating how the tone of his voice sent a shiver down her spine. “And you should really put some clothes on. The people of Utah don’t want to see…that.”

He chuckled, but shifted slightly behind her. “Hate to break it to you sweetheart, but a lot of people want to see that.”

She cringed, because she knew it was true. Like in high school, she knew women lined up to catch the barest glimpse of Tristan.

He moved quietly behind her, his steps so soft you’d never know they came from a man of his size. “You can turn around now.”

She raked her teeth over her bottom lip, taking the very corner and chewing it before turning to face him. He still had no shirt on, his feet were bare, but he wore a pair of old gray sweats resting so low on his hips you could tell he wasn’t wearing anything underneath.

“Aren’t you freezing?” she asked, feeling a shiver run through her own body.

“No,” he said, leaning against the doorway and crossing his feet at the ankles. A tiny grin teased at the corner of his mouth, and she knew he was having too much fun at her expense.

She turned toward the Mustang, not attempting to hide her irritation. “I brought you breakfast,” she said quickly.

“That’s nice of you.”

“It’s not nice. Just my way of getting your lazy ass out of bed.”

He threw his head back with laughter. “Are you always this pleasant in the morning?”

Pressing her lips together, she wasn’t about to let him to pull her into another argument. “We need to go,” she said, turning on her heels and opening the door to her room.

She walked inside, hoping the action would give him the hint to do the same. “I’ll have your breakfast waiting for you in the car.” But before she closed the door, she could swear she caught him smiling.

“My God.” she whispered, resting her forehead against the wall, taking in all the air she’d forgotten to take over the last two minutes. “Three more days. Just three more days of Tristan Montgomery.” She repeated the last words over and over, gathered up the rest of her belongings, and headed for the car.

Author Bio:

Taylor is mom of three young (or not so young) children she loves more than life. She runs them around endlessly, hoping she looks presentable enough to be out in public, and day dreams about fictional characters. Maybe she's crazy, or maybe she craves the barbie games she played as a little girl a little too much, but that's where her stories are born. It's where they blossom, and grow, and eventually breath life on the page of her stories.

She'd love to hear from you. (Or I'd love to hear from you. I wrote this in 3rd person to sound cooler)

The ABCs of Being Me by Theresa A. McKeown

The Abc's of me is a great book for all children. The book starts with the letter A and goes through the whole alphabet giving a different thought, feeling, or emotion for each letter. The book tells you the name of the emotion, thought , or feeling. Then explains what each is. After you read the page there is an exercise for the kids to complete like answering a question or making a list for each emotion, thought, or feeling.

This book is good for even small children to help them learn more about their feelings. I personally love books that teach kids instead of just entertaining them. The lessons do need to entertain them as well. This book does both.  Theresa A. McKeown has done a great job. The illustrations in the book are done very well also.
