Red and her Wolfe by Blythe Reid blitz

Red and her Wolfe
Blythe Reid
Publication date: August 8th 2017
Genres: Adult, Romance

They call me The Wolfe.

I hunt women the way a wolf hunts lambs.

And I just found my latest prey. She’s a long way from home. We meet on the plane. And there’s nothing as vulnerable as a girl who’s homesick after her first trip abroad.

The girls I’m used to want my money and my looks.

This girl is too innocent for either of those things.

She wants me because of the way we lock eyes. The way we instantly hit it off. The way we seem to have been made for each other.

And I want her because I’m The Wolfe.

I hunt innocent young women like her.

It’s what I do.

EXCERPT:

My feet were curled beneath me as I leaned back against my pillows. I opened my book to the marked page and smiled to myself. With my schoolwork and chores, I couldn’t read as much as I wished. It had been almost two weeks since I last opened Flames of Sorrow.

No one understood my love for romance novels, but I was obsessed. They were my one escape, my way of stepping away from reality. When I read, I believed in soul mates and passionate love. I could experience exciting things through the characters in these books.

Flames of Sorrow was about a couple who were doomed to spend eternity apart. They were both immortal and therefore, destined to live forever. The only negative was that they could never be together. If they so much as looked at each other, they each began to develop a horrible illness.

Still, they managed to spend one day together every five years. If they kept their time together limited, they wouldn’t get sick. One day was never enough, but it was all they had. They were willing to risk everything simply to be together. I’d read Flames of Sorrow many times before, but I always came back to it. To me, it embodied the definition of true love. They loved each other with a passion I’d never known. Plus, the sex scenes were amazing.

I found myself hiding in my room late at night, reading the scenes to myself, imagining what it would feel like to act them out with a man. I knew it was just a fantasy, something I could only dream about enjoying one day. Still, it was my fantasy, and it got me through my mundane life.

As I read, I lost myself in the pages. I became Annabella, faithfully waiting for Diego to find his way back to me. I was her and she was me. In those moments, I became one with my book, and I loved every single second of it. Until my mother entered my room without knocking and pulled me back to reality with a painful thump. I jumped, shutting the book quickly and looking at her attentively. My nerves were immediately on edge. My mother didn’t approve of my extracurricular activities, and she made her opinions known every chance she got. “Scarlet,” Mom said, shaking her head. “Why on Earth are you wasting your time with this nonsense?”

“I like it,” I said with a shrug. Her disapproval bothered me, but I tucked the book under my pillow all the same. If it was out of sight, she would forget about it quickly.

Claire Timms was not your typical mother. She was more protective than anyone else in the world. Having been homeschooled most of my life, I was ecstatic to start college, but my mother made sure I didn’t leave home. Instead, I attended the local college and took classes there.

I tried to persuade my mom to let me move into a dorm room, but she refused. She said it was too dangerous, that I would be exposed to horrible things. I didn’t know enough to argue with her, but deep down, I thought she was wrong. I saw the fun college students had, and I was desperate to partake. “You’ve read it a thousand times,” Mom said, rolling her eyes.

“Not that many,” I said. “Besides, I’ve been so busy lately, I haven’t had time to read anything. Now that school’s over, I can finally enjoy myself again.” “You can,” she admitted with a nod. “Bu, you need to pick better ways to spend your time. Those novels just fill your head with all kinds of fantasies, Scarlet. They aren’t real. Men like that, they just don’t exist.” “Maybe they do,” I said softly. “Somewhere.”

A Siren's Song by Billi Jean Blitz

Paranormal Romance
Date Published: July 2017

 photo add-to-goodreads-button_zpsc7b3c634.png

“When a Siren sings, best listen”—Stephano

The god of war, Ares, had reached down to Hades and given Stephano another chance at life as one of his legendary fighters—Spartans. For centuries, he’d fought and survived more battles than he could recount. But the one fight he feared he might lose came in the form of one tiny, perfectly formed woman who was off-limits.

Yet, the longer he had with her, the more he realized she might be the one battle he would gladly lose.

Maeve was a Siren, one of only two remaining in her realm. When warriors arrived and offered her brother a way out of their realm, if only they led them to the gates between worlds, she knew she had to aid them. It was the only way to free her brother from the burden of caring for her. She would help them, lead them to the gates, then let her brother go so he could be free from her.

Only one warrior, one sexy, too-handsome rogue, might ruin her plan. Especially when he was clearly bent on seducing her. Worse, for the first time in her life, she was tempted to allow it, just to see if he could make her sing in his arms.

Nikkie Pryce’s DREAMERS, TAKE ACTION! Blog Tour

Title:
DREAMERS, TAKE ACTION!
Author: Nikkie Pryce
Publisher: Opportune Publishing
Pages: 118
Genre: Self-help / Self-improvement / Self-motivation

I remember going through
stages in my life where I had no money; I was broken in spirit and mind.

One day I realized in order
to make more money and live the life I wanted, I had to start with myself.

I started reading tons of
self-help books, prayed more and did affirmation exercises to lift my
self-esteem. It was time to see growth.

If you are ready to
challenge yourself and start seeing better results from your creative ideas,
then this book is for you.

Dreamers, Take Action! is an actionable blueprint for creating the life you
want.

This book is equipped with steps and daily challenges that
I’ve taken to change a few needed things.

I've joined new networks with successful people, I’m
finishing projects that I’ve started, and I am walking through open doors of
lucrative opportunities, all by following one simple step.

That
step is taking action.

Follow me into this journey
as I vulnerably explain the road I took to get to where I am.

Hopefully, you’ll be
inspired to work diligently to finish what you’ve started.

I
trust that you’re ready to take that leap of faith.

"Don’t give up. Finish what you've started."

That’s so hard to say, especially coming from a person like
me. I’ve rarely ever finished anything that I’ve pursued in my life.

However, this time it is different.

I finished this assignment to create a life for the both of
us. “Us” being the dreamers who have so much inside of our mind, body and soul,
but were barely taught to manifest it to completion.

On my journey of being a dreamer, I realized that one thing
was wrong: I was too busy dreaming, starting amazing ideas but not finishing
the things I dreamt about.

Today, I pass down what I've learned. I pass down what I’ve
encountered during this journey in hopes that you will use this book as a tool
to not make the same mistakes that I made. Instead, use it to learn and reroute
yourself onto the path to your success. I trust your ability just like I trust
mine. Take this journey with me and let’s conquer together. We owe it to
ourselves, and we only can imagine where it will take us.

The goal is to not get distracted for any reason. Focus on
your dream and vision 1000%. Most importantly, don’t give up. Finish what
you’ve started, just like I’ve finished this book! It took some time, prayer
and focus, but we are here.

Let me show you how I did it. After this, pay it forward.
Share your journey with all around you so each of us can learn from each other
and not make the same mistakes
twice.

Interview with Nikkie Pryce:

How did you come up with name of this book?

The name of the book came from a period in my life where I struggled with taking action towards my dreams. I remember sitting in a mirror one day saying, “Dreamer, take action, DREAMER, TAKE ACTION!” That affirmation empowered me to move towards manifesting my dreams. Now, that I took that step of faith with taking action towards my dreams, I wanted to affirm others to start taking massive action towards their’s.

Do you read yourself and if so what is your favorite genre?

Absolutely. Reading is apart of my DNA. We fail when we stop reading and growing. My favorite genre has to be Non-fiction self-help, self-improvement genres. I am always into growing and improving daily.

Do you prefer to write in silence or with noise? Why?

It depends on my mood. Most times I write in silence because music distracts me from the thoughts that I am putting on paper. However, sometimes, I can grab my headphones and tune into my favorite motivational song and write away.

What do you feel you can accomplish with this book?

I feel I will accomplish ways to inspire millennials and all dreamers far and wide to go after their dreams. It’s so important that we don’t allow our dreams to die. It’s so important that we manifest our dreams. We are all creators and we have the ability and power to produce. It’s time to take action, dreamers!

What is your next project?

Potentially, turn my book into a documentary, or webseries. I believe there's a huge space for this project and I can’t wait to see how it unfolds.

EXCERPT:

The helicopters were stationed at the rim of Ring One, just inside the low, sandy-colored wall that surrounded the center podium. They were waiting, crouching like black angels ready to lift us from this place, this hell, into an unknown world. A Guardian in black uniform with gold trim walked to the front of the choppers and signaled for us to come forward. Another one threw the bags in the cargo hold as he read from his list. Three girls and eight boys. Joseph’s name was not on the list. I felt a flood of relief that was washed away by panic. I was barely holding myself together as it was, seeing him was liable to make me fall to pieces. But he was supposed to be here.

Paulo’s hand was on my back, pushing me towards the helicopter like I was an uncooperative apple on the conveyor belt. I was trying so hard to muster up some courage. Today I was leaving the only home I had ever known. I would never see my mother again. I felt the anxiety rising, the crushing pain of the separation I was about to suffer. Suddenly the grey-washed town didn’t look so horrible. It was home after all, I guess. I told myself it was fear that was making me feel this way. It didn’t help.

My mother, who had been quietly following us around like a dazed puppy, pulled me to her in a tight embrace. She whispered, “Sorry,” in my ear before stepping back, fists clenched, showing the appropriate restraint. Some other mothers were crying and holding their children as the Guardian wrenched them away and led them onto the aircraft.

My mother’s face was my own, the way she moved mirrored my own movements and mannerisms, but that’s where the similarities ended. Although raised by this woman, I was nothing like her. For the first time, I saw things from her perspective. Getting into trouble all the time, never showing Paulo anything other than contempt. I must have been such a frustration to her.

They called my name. Paulo put his hands firmly on my shoulders, holding me in my place. His intense stare was impossible to look away from. “Don’t shame your family,” he spat at me. And with that, he made it easy to leave. I could feel the blades starting to move, my hair whipping around my face. I stripped away the fear and anxiety, leaving a girl that was fierce, empowered by his hatred.

“Don’t worry, Paulo, I’ll stir it up, make a little noise!” I shouted through the wind. The Guardian that let me sign up was watching me, probably regretting his decision. My mother was standing rigidly, her handmade skirt billowing as the air churned around her, her hand outstretched, pleading. I could see it in her eyes—please Rosa, don’t cause more trouble. She couldn’t stop me, no one ever could. Paulo was already walking away, his back to me. Behind my mother stood a man, one blue eye, one brown, smiling. He lifted his hand to wave. I raised my hand, confused. The chopper lurched awkwardly and I was knocked back into the cargo hold.

“Sit down!” the Guardian snapped at me. I quickly found a spot and strapped myself in. The others were staring at me, eyes wide. The Guardian tapped the pilot on the shoulder. “Wait, there’s one more.”

He bounded in, bag in hand, and casually threw it on the pile and scanned the seats. There was plenty of room on the other side but he squeezed his bulky form between me and the boy I was sitting next to.

Suddenly we were in the air. When the Guardian wasn’t looking, Joseph slipped his hand over mine. Warmth calmed the agitation I felt, like pouring gold over lead, glowing. We stayed that way the entire ride. Eyes forward. Impossibly trying to anticipate what may lie ahead.
