Promo Blast for Embers of Fire by Ally Shields

Description

A chilling prophecy. A child in danger.

Following
the defeat of the vampire elders, Guardian fire witch Arianna Calin and vampire
prince Andreas De Luca are considering moving to his estates in Italy to raise
their daughter in its idyllic setting. As if being descended from two powerful
witch bloodlines wasn't challenging enough, Rayne was born with a mysterious
star tattoo on her shoulder. Her parents suspect she is the Chosen, the focus
of the Star of Esielen prophecy. But that's something to worry about in the
distant future. Isn't it? After all, their child may be precocious, but she is
only five.

Then
the murders begin. The stench of demonic activity hangs over Olde Town, and a
symbol carved in blood indicates Rayne may be the next victim. Suspicion points
in several directions: a rival vampire prince, a mysterious stranger, and a
werehyena leader attempting to break the bank at Andreas's new casino.

Abandoning plans for a quiet life, Ari and Andreas hunt
for the killers. While Rayne may someday have to face her destiny alone, it's
up to them to make sure she's ready...and to keep her alive.

Excerpt

A crisp breeze caught
the last of the early morning fog and swirled it over the gravestones. The Olde
Town cemetery slowly emerged from the mist, its silent memorial to the dead
marred by an unusual amount of activity. A uniformed Riverdale cop completed a
final loop of bright yellow tape around several stone vaults and two small
crabapple trees. CS techs snapped photos and set out evidence markers as they
processed the crime scene.

With a hot Styrofoam
coffee cup in each hand, Arianna Calin bumped her jeans-clad hip against the
iron entrance gate, knocking it open, and slipped inside, her footsteps
crunching the brittle September leaves. When an eerie chill nudged her senses,
she swept the scene with a sharp glance.

Nothing she hadn’t
expected. Not yet. Nothing bad enough to trigger her witch alarms. But then, it
was a graveyard. The remnants of so many dead souls could mask a great deal.

She ducked under a high
section of the bright tape and focused on the blond man in jeans and a dark
gray sweatshirt crouched beside a still form. “ME’s not here yet?” she asked.

Lt. Ryan Foster, her
partner from the all-human Riverdale Police Department, looked up and stood,
his blue eyes lighting on the cups in her hands. “On his way. One of those for
me?”

A smile touched her
lips, and she handed him one, withholding further comment until he’d taken his
first jolt of caffeine. “Dispatch said it was a stabbing. Human female victim.
Is the suspect one of mine?” As a supernatural cop and guardian for Riverdale’s
Olde Town district, Ari wouldn’t be notified of an RDPD case unless the
Otherworld was involved. Usually that meant vampires or werewolves—the
predominant species in town—had run amok
.
“I’m not sure….” Ryan
rubbed the bridge of his nose. “Sorry to drag you out so early on a hunch, but
I have a weird feeling about this one.”

Ari nearly choked on
her coffee. “Oh, no you don’t. That’s my line. There’s only room for one of us
with spidey senses in this partnership.”

“Cop instincts,” he
corrected. His early-morning face was grumpy, displaying his constant annoyance
with things he didn’t understand. “It works for us mere mortals.”

“OK. Show me. What have
you got?” She stepped around him, the humor slipping from her lips at first
sight of the victim.

“Judge for yourself if
something doesn’t feel off.”

Vivid red blood stood
in stark contrast to the middle-aged woman’s light lemon sweater. Not a typical
stabbing…her throat had been slashed, leaving a spray pattern of arterial blood
on the fading grass around her and a glistening trail down the sides of a
gaping wound. It had soaked her neckline.

Ari’s nostrils flared,
taking in the sharp, metallic scent and seeking something more, whatever had
triggered Ryan’s reaction. All kidding aside, working with him for eight years
meant she trusted his gut feelings almost as much as her magic.

Meteor Shower Rain Lights

I love decorating for Christmas. Lights of all types are my main thing. This is my first set of Meteor Shower lights and I am in love with them already. I cannot wait to get more to decorate the front of my house. I will be retiring the plain old icicle lights and using these instead.

This set comes with 8 meteor tubes. Each tube is 11.8 inches long. There are 18 lights per tube for a total of 144 lights in the whole strand. The total length of the strang is just shy of 12 feet long. These lights are weatherproof so you can hang them outside int he rain, snow, or heat. The plug all though is not weatherproof and should be plugged in inside or protected by a plastic bag or something to keep it dry.

There is a female connector at the end of the strand so you can easily add more strands to the set without having to find another plug in. I could not find how many strands of lights could safely be added though.

Women's Relax Fit V-neck Cotton Shirt

5*
This is I think the most comfortable t-shirt I own. The material is so soft against my skin it is almost like being petted. The shirt is very stretchy but does not stretch out and loose it's shape. There is a small pocket on the right chest area which to me added some cute to the shirt. The shirt is a v-neck. I love the color I chose. There were several colors to choose from. I chose the wine color. It is actually darker then the picture shows.

I ran the shirt though the washer and dryer And it came out great. There was no shrinkage, no color fade, or bleeding. The shirt is sewn very well. I saw no loose threads, no unsewn spots. The stitches are tight but not so tight that they will snap easily. The hems are all even. The shirt does run just a touch small. I bought the xl which does fit nicely but it does show off my bra line and the waist band of my shorts. I still give the shirt 5 stars because it is made great, it looks, great, the color is great, and it is sooooo soft.

Women's Pineapple Print Slip Dress with Bikini Bra Top

This dress is absolutely stunning. It is so soft against my skin. I just love it. The material is very cool. It seems to be made extremely well. I will say I bought the 2X as it tells you they do run small so I went a size larger. I wear a 40 D and it kind of flattened my chest area. It fit great everywhere else though.  My daughter (pictured) is a 36 D and it fit her perfectly in the chest as well as everywhere else. She wears a size 9 in clothing. This dress is ankle length.

Once my daughter saw the dress she was so happy it did not fit me. She snatched it up like most kids snatch candy. This dress will be going with her on her honeymoon cruise next spring.

We did run the dress through the washer and dryer. The dress came out great and did not need to be ironed. There was no shrinking, color bleed, or fading. Now I need to go back and buy me another one.

Atomic Beam Lantern by bulbhead.com

Super bright light. Great for camping, working on the car, power outages and anything you need a light for. This light is very lightweight, so great for taking in a backpack camping or Storing in the car. It is also compact so will not take up a lot of room no matter where you store it.

This has 3 ways to temporarily mount the light. The metal adjustable handles on either side, there are 4 strong magnets on the bottom, and a fold out plastic hook also on the bottom.

The light runs on 3 AA batteries which are not included. But any AA batteries should work fine. I tried it with alkaline and rechargeable batteries and it worked fine.

The light works very easily and will not run down batteries by accidentally being turned on. You just simply hold onto the bottom and pull the top upwards to turn the light on and slide it back down to turn it off. The lighting can be adjustable by not opening it all the way.

I can see us getting a lot of use with this light. My husband is always working on something in his shop and needs lots of bright light. We live in Florida and during the summer we have a lot of storms and living int he middle of a National Forest the power does go out quite  bit. And we love doing things outdoors.

Cobiz 60/100 W Hot Melt Glue Gun with 5 Pcs Premium Glue Sticks

Really great glue gun!! I love to craft and do a lot of it. Most of my crafts include using a glue gun. I usually have to have 2 glue guns setting on my crafting table one is a low temp and the other is a high temp depending on what I am making. This glue gun has 2 settings. With the flip of a switch I can have 60 watt or 100 watt. This will make my table less cluttered since I will nw only need 1 gun setting on the table.

The glue gun comes with 5 of the 8 inch large round glue sticks. I can find replacement sticks pretty much at any store so I won't have to order every time I am about to run out. And I go through a lot of glue sticks.

There is a metal adjustable stand on the glue gun so I don't have to have it laying on the table. The trigger in the gun is larger then any I have seen and I am loving it.. It is long enough for 3 of my fingers. The trigger is very easy to squeeze.

I like the bright yellow color. Makes it very distinguishable on my cluttered craft table. The glue gun is very light weight. The tip does get very hot so watch it around kids.  The glue comes out very hot as well. I usually keep a small dish of water on my table for when my skin comes in contact with the tip or the glue itself.

Dragon Rebel by Ophelia Bell blitz

Dragon Rebel
Ophelia Bell
(Immortal Dragons, #4)
Publication date: August 1st 2017
Genres: Adult, Paranormal, Romance

If Assana looked up the word “nymphomaniac” in the dictionary, she might expect to find her own image in place of the definition, especially after meeting the immortal red dragon, Gavra. The timing couldn’t be worse for her to discover the mate that Fate intended—the one she’d be willing to let go of her tightly bound hold on her deepest sexual desires for—the one who literally drives her mad with lust. Now that she needs her sanity more than anything to regain control of her race’s home from her own insane mother, she’s faced with the inconvenient desire to lose control and be that primal nymph she keeps locked inside.

Thank Gaia for Silas. The handsome young ursa male is blessed with magic that can calm the lust-filled madness threatening to consume Assana’s mind. She needs him more than ever now that she has no choice but to spend her days in close proximity to the dragon she desires more than anything… yet doesn’t dare touch lest she give in to that ancient, primal need all nymphaea are born with.

For red dragon Gavra, he can only put off having the beautiful nymph maiden for so long, or the ursa male who Fate has promised him. Once Assana’s crazy mother is out of the way, nothing will stop Gavra from claiming and marking them both as his.

EXCERPT:

“Well that was fun.”

Gavra spun around at the sound of the deep, familiar voice that had so recently been speaking inside his head. His brother stood in the center of his room, his arms crossed and a grim smile on his face.

“Aodh,” he said, unable to mask the utter relief he felt at seeing his white-haired brother whole and in the flesh. He pulled the other man into a fierce embrace that was returned in kind, releasing him when Aodh stiffened.

Gavra looked back in the direction of his brother’s gaze and saw Vrishti standing with an excited look about to breach the barrier into his room.

“No!” Aodh said. “Please stay where you are, love.”

“She wants to see you,” Gavra said. “Surely you won’t deny her a proper greeting.”

Aodh shook his head. “A proper greeting? She’s not ready, brother. Perhaps it’s fine for you and Silas to tangle before you’ve marked him. We can’t risk her reputation while she’s still learning about her kind.” Turning to Vrishti, he said, “After we’ve settled these issues with the Haven, love. I promise you no prison can keep me from you then.”

Vrishti dropped the hand she had been about to push past the barrier and nodded. Her eyes grew glassy and she took a shaky breath. “I’ll be ready for you, I promise,” she said. “I can’t stand to see you trapped like this… I’m sorry. Be safe. Keep him safe…” She directed the last comment to Gavra and Assana, who both nodded.

Gavra gave Assana a perplexed look. “Why didn’t you drift into the room with him?”

Assana carefully avoided his gaze as she hugged Vrishti farewell and watched the other female go, then she glanced at Silas, a look of pure gratitude on her lovely face. The big ursa male moved closer to her, wrapped an arm around her and held her. Gavra’s chest felt leaden at the way the pair looked at each other – like they belonged in each other’s arms. They were kindred elements, both Gaia’s children, and made sense together more than Gavra himself made sense with either of them. The way he and Silas crashed together with such fiery, explosive force felt right to him, but it was not easy, or pretty – it was passionate, volatile, and destructive.

“He calms my primal spirit,” Assana said softly. “I’m afraid to come closer to you because you only make the madness claw at my mind more. I allowed Aodh to take control of his own drift once he promised to go where I asked. I couldn’t be in the same room with you for fear of losing control. I’m sorry, Gavra… I can’t let myself lose control, not when my entire home, my family’s well being is at stake. Please understand.”

He wanted to roar in protest, to breathe flames at the barrier and pull her inside, show her how right it would be to let go and be her true self – the wild nymph he sensed glimmers of beneath the surface whenever their eyes met. The insatiable creature who haunted his dreams, responding to his heat so perfectly.

Aodh’s hand rested on his shoulder and gave him a comforting squeeze.

Gavra swallowed the molten lump in his throat and nodded. Finding his voice, he said, “I want you wild, Assana. The first time I’m inside you, you can be damn sure control will be the last thing on anyone’s minds.”

Silas tightened his hold on Assana protectively, though his aura flared bright red in response to Gavra’s promise. She closed her eyes and took a long, slow breath as though fortifying herself before opening her eyes.

Her hypnotic, whirlpool gaze met his through the barrier. “I want that, too. To share my primal essence with you both, to taste yours when we’re thrice melded and feel your heat deep inside my mind. To feel you etch your mark on my skin. Gaia save me, I would take that now, but I can’t risk losing myself to that need. There is too much at stake. Please understand… I need Silas to keep my own nymphaea madness in check, but I promise you the first time you’re inside me will be the first time my quim is filled by any male’s seed.”

Gavra groaned at the promise, forcing himself to pull his gaze away from her or else risk burning down the entire Sanctuary to get to her.

“It looks like Silas is going to have his hands full sating us both separately then,” he said, staring heatedly at the big ursa male. “Can you handle that?”

Silas gave him a lazy smile. “I welcome it.”
