Sadie graduates in a handful of days, and when most of the people around her in class are worrying about finals, she’s more focused on if she’ll survive to walk across the stage. Byron, her vampire lover, brings Sadie to a medieval style tournament thrown by the region’s Master. His hope is to take her mind off the stresses of the tests and essays–not to mention the vampire who wants them both dead. However, while taking in the festivities Byron discovers that Sadie has some dark secrets of her own.

EXCERPT:
“Would you like to play a game?” He cooed to me, nipping at the tender flesh around his bite from that morning.
“W-what kind of game?”
“I call it no touching.”
“Will I be able to get my dress back on before dinner?”
“Depends on how carried away we get.”
I swallowed. “Okay. How do we play?”
He took a step back from me and started stripping. “You just stand there.”
“That doesn’t seem like much of a game.”
“It will,” his voice was heavy and thick with the darkness that his devious smirk boasted as he dropped his doublet to the ground. Something ruffled my gown, and I spun around finding nothing.
The ribbon holding the lace collar on tugged itself free, and the soft froth of delicate fabric fell to the floor behind me. The sudden cool air on my neck made me shiver as the ribbons at the sleeves of my dress started to do the same.
“This really isn’t much of a ga—” I turned to face him and the sight of his naked body—as always—rendered me a deaf mute.
“Trust me,” he whispered pulling the comforter and pillows from the bed.
I couldn’t find my voice as both sleeves slipped off. I was only in the bodice, corset, petticoat, and skirt now. Byron was already completely nude and lounging on the blanket on the polished wooden floor. He left the cushions for me.
“How can I win?” I was eventually able to ask as he stared up at me and I felt the bodice slowly start to gape open revealing the cream-colored corset beneath.
“You don’t touch yourself, or me.”
“Honestly, that sounds like everyone loses to me.” I giggled nervously.
“You’ll see.”
I licked my lips as at once my skirt drifted to my feet. Something about standing before him with just his eyes on me heightened my senses. The familiar heat started building, and he hadn’t laid a fingertip on me since agreeing to play the game. He was affected too, as I gazed down at his nudity I was greeted by the sight of him, seemingly growing harder and larger under my gaze.
“Remember,” he practically growled. “No touching.”

April Book Affair blitz with Xpresso Book Tours
Steampunk is science fiction which takes place in the past. An alternate history where inventions, gadgets, and personal conveniences do not belong, and yet, are there. Often these inventions are powered by steam, hydraulics, clockwork, gyroscopic action, or pretty much anything but gasoline. The author has to create a beautiful Victorian setting where mechanical items exist that shouldn’t in Victorian history.
2. Strong Female Characters – Gif – https://media.giphy.com/media/l0HlzsBr1ItdlhWYE/giphy.gif
It was in the Victorian era that feminism grew by leaps and bounds and the suffrage movement gained major traction. Because of the strong influences of women in the time period in which steampunk has its roots, they tend to take centerstage in the interpretation of this genre. Who doesn’t like a woman who steals the show or takes charge?
3. Action and Adventure – Gif – http://gph.is/1yx3IFz
What would inventive fiction be without an inventive plotline? In Steampunk you will find a bit of drama, a bit of fantasy, a tad of mystery, but generally, you’ll find adventure that expands the horizons of your imagination… often viewed from an airship or mechanical animal.
4. Fun Fashion and Costumes – Gif – http://gph.is/1Q2OnRm
Not many genres can boast an entire theme of Cosplay. People love to dress in steampunk fashions for Comic Cons, book conventions, Halloween, and parties. Even the high fashion world has runway shows dedicated to this style of dressing. Go to Etsy and search “steampunk” you’ll find all sorts of fun things to wear while you read.
5. It’s More Familiar Than You Think
The gifs in this post are all from movies or shows you may have watched: Wild Wild West with Will Smith, Stardust with Claire Danes, the animated film, Howl’s Moving Castle, and episodes of Dr. Who. If you’ve loved any of these shows, you’ve already gotten a taste of Steampunk. Don’t pass up the chance to read a book or watch a movie just because of the clever combination of past and present themes. Give it a try and you may find yourself a new fan of the genre!

BOOK TOUR: Mama's Knight: A Cancer Story of Love by Aurora Whittet
My Review:
I would give this book 1000 stars if I could. As a cancer survivor this book is very special to me. My children were not small but were still young when I battled my cancer. I wish this book had of been round to share with them. The book will make a child feel special during a horrible time in their families life. The book is also kind of like a log, that you fill out. The Child is knighted as on the first pages. So they have a special place in the journey.
The story is from a Mama with cancer to their special Knight. To give them love and support as well as helping them to understand the battle. I cried while reading this book and am crying again as I write this. Cancer is a horrible time for anyone and their families. Children especially since they want to help but cannot.
Aurora Whittet has done an amazing job with this book. She can help so many families with her special story and by making every child feel special. This will also help the Mama's by giving them a way of helping them help their child through their harrowing journey. The illustrations in this book are amazing as well. They are fun which is most needed at this time.

opened bottle of Stella, the bubbles rising to the top and into my parched
mouth. As I wait for the bartender, across the room, I glimpse hints of pink
lace as she bends down to retrieve her glass from the floor. When she stands
back up, her micro-mini black dress barely covering the pert curves of her
backside, her baby-blue eyes meet mine, and she grins knowingly. She locks in
my attention as she walks over in her five-inch heels, keeping to the beat of
the Weeknd track pumping from the DJ booth. I am spellbound. I don’t know her
name or where she’s from. I hope she’s of age—even just barely will do.
nearer, her smile fades, and she looks to my left. I wonder if I misread the
signals and if she was actually smiling at someone else. But then she stops
just in front of me and turns around. I have no idea what’s going on,
especially when I feel her soft hand touch mine. She runs her deliciously sharp
nails up and down my hand, sending a tickle of excitement through me. I cup her
hand, and she entwines her fingers through mine. I want—need—to feel her back
against me to comfort my throbbing cock. I grab hold of her waist, her hand
still in mine, and firmly pull her closer to me. As her butt presses like a
cushion against me, she grinds a little, the top of her head tickling my chin.
Then, taking me by surprise, she forcefully glides my unresisting hand down
from the small of her lower back—where her straight, shimmering chestnut hair
ends in wisps of loose waves—to her exposed smooth thigh. I forget my need for
beer.
