Book Description:

Raina loved performing upon the London stage, but one night she found herself dancing for only HIM. She froze, and looked to the balcony where the gaslights flickered dimly over his shadowy form. If only she had known that this beautiful monster would soon rip her away from everything in the world SHE EVER LOVED, perhaps she wouldn’t have lingered so long.

Marcus loved being a blood thirsty predator, but one night his gallivanting brought him to his knees in front of HER. If only he’d known what would happen when she danced, that she would remind him of someone who was everything in the world HE EVER LOVED, Perhaps he would’ve turned away.

As he drags her deeper and deeper into his depraved world of torture and violence, she begins fighting with her own darkness that threatens to consume her everyday. And oh, how it begs to be released. And though she knows it’s wrong, she desires her captor anyway.

Until she begins falling for someone else…

Meanwhile, prostitutes are being butchered in the streets and she begins to wonder: Is her dark lover, the one she is bound to, The Ripper?

With an accurate account of the creepy gaslit times of London and real Jack the Ripper crime scenes, Loved By A Killer is an exciting read from start to finish.

I RACE UPSTAIRS
AND TURN THE GASLIGHT ON to its brightest setting and listen to every sound in
the house, for anything unusual and for Marcus’ return. My mind spins over this
turn of events. The mutilated girl in the picture. The monster that takes pleasure in her horrific murder. The kind of
monster that stole my mother away in the darkness leaving our lives wrecked.
But now I have power: speed, strength, senses that are out of this world, and
an affinity for the night. And somewhere, this monster lurks in the night- that
I
NOW OWN
.
I’m going to destroy him. Jack
the Ripper, Marcus, whoever he is-
he’s dead. I don’t believe it will cost me what’s left of my humanity, but even
if my soul disintegrates to pieces, he must be stopped.
“Fascinated…captivated… Throw me
to the devil for I am painfully in love with you.” Marcus appears in the
doorway. His face gleams happily and he throws his hat onto the dresser.
I force a smile. “What have you
been up to?”
“Oh, baby, I have my own vampire things to tend to.” He extends his hand
toward my face and I flinch. “Have you eaten?” My muscles feel weak and my
chest burns a little. “No? Let me fix that. Tom!”
“Please don’t let me hurt him,” I say.
He nods. I drink from the young servant’s wrist as my mind swims with horrid
thoughts. After ten gulps, I force my mouth away and it doesn’t hurt as much,
being far more interested in Marcus’ bloody affairs. I pull up a sleeve to wipe
the blood away and Tom lies back on the bed.
“Guess what happened tonight?”
Marcus flings messy hair out of his face and plops down on the bed beside me.
 “What happened?”
“There was another murder on the
East side.”
My breath catches. “And?” I
flutter my eyelids up at my beaming vampire. “How do you know that?”
“While I was… out, the town was
a-buzz with the sad murmurings of a new victim.”
“You seem so torn up.”
“Of course not. But she was.”
Tom’s hand lands on my leg. “Can
I be yours? Like, your personal blood boy?”
Marcus scoffs. “She’s likely to
kill you, chap.”
“Go ahead Marcus, tell me what
happened,” I say, unable to keep my voice steady.
“They say it was a bangtail
called Dark Annie. The doctor had to scoop her intestines and organs out of the
dirt and put them back into her stomach.”
“I see.” My mind unveils all the
mutilated women in the artwork I just discovered in Marcus’ study. What a
painting this new murder would make. “He’s not going to stop, is he?” I stare
pointedly into those dark pools of hypnotizing evil.
“Doubtful.” He cocks his head to
the side and grins.
Well, hell.

Liora Day, half-human, half mess-with-her-and-you’ll-die Damaclan, had been thrown onto a rough path at a very early age. But when she is broken out of a cage by Devren, the young captain of the SS Kratos, she is shown that perhaps humanity does have a heart. The Kratos is set on a mission to rescue fallen surveyors from the Revolutionaries, and Liora is given the choice to follow her Damaclan instincts, or trust Devren’s dark eyes and captivating smile that promise an adventure unlike any she has ever experienced.

99 cents for a limited time only!

EXCERPT:

Liora twisted the bent end inward until she felt the teeth slide free. She slipped the bar from the handcuff and let it fall off her wrist. In two more seconds, the other cuff was on the floor.

The lock of her cage proved to be more difficult. Luckily, Liora had the two pieces of the tweezers to work with. She bent the second one to match the angle of the first. Following the same steps the apprentice had done so many times, Liora pushed the bent end of the first piece into the lock opposite the pins. She turned it slowly upward until it was in tension.

Inserting the second piece, Liora raked it slowly along the pins. The small metal on metal sound set Liora’s nerves on end. If Malivian found out what she was doing, she would be tortured again. The voice in the back of her mind whispered that perhaps she wouldn’t survive a second round.

A subtle, metallic click sounded. Liora’s heart jumped. She pushed at the bars. Her breath caught in her throat when the door swung outward. Liora stepped onto the cold floor and stumbled lightheadedly. She caught herself on the next cage, pushed upright, and ran down the hall.

The alarm sounded when she hit the button for the hatch to open. As soon as the gap was wide enough, Liora jumped out. Her feet, then her knees, hit the deck of Gaulded Zero Twenty-One. She shoved up to her feet once more and ran past the other starships.

Even at the late hour, the Gaulded’s landing deck was filled with activity. It appeared the Kratos and Kirkos weren’t the only ships who had been attacked. Blow torches, plasma cutters, and blazers filled the contained air inside the Gaulded’s hold with the acrid scent of metal. The sound of mallets and hand saws sounded from every corner.

Crew members of the ships Liora passed turned to watch her go. She felt conspicuous and alone as she darted between space crafts and around repair gear. A giant pallet of artillery swung over her head. Liora ducked and made her way along the stripped hull of a Copper Crow painted to look like an iridescent fish. The name Space Poseidon glowed near the hatch.

Liora ran around the corner and slammed into Devren.

“I was about to come looking for you—” he began.

Tariq cut him off. “Dev, her face.”

Devren gently pushed her back so he could see her better. Liora dropped her gaze at his gentle probing.

“Malivian did this to you?” he asked.

The anger in his voice made Liora look up. Devren appeared ready to kill someone.

“Calm down,” Tariq told him. “Let’s get her to the ship. It’s the only place we’ll have leverage.”

Devren put a protective arm around Liora. Tariq walked behind them like a bodyguard. Liora felt as though she had entered some different reality. Somehow, even with the thought of Malivian coming after her, she felt safe between the two humans who had entered her life by accident.

Falling for Boston by Leslie Kate blitz

Falling for Boston
Leslie Kate
Publication date: October 13th 2016
Genres: Adult, Comedy, Romance

As the youngest of four, Dylan has always been the baby. But don’t let that fool you; she’s not your average baby sister. Growing up with three older brothers left Dylan with a lack of femininity and in its place, a real guy’s girl personality. Sports, beer, burping, you name it; but don’t even think about going near her feet with a pair of heels.

When Dylan meets Tyler Vaughn, the famous and devastatingly attractive football superstar at work one morning, she’s thrilled by his good stats, not his good looks. But the wide receiver—and sweet romantic—throws her for a loop when he pursues her despite what she knows is missing, her feminine charm.

Now Dylan must reconcile the fact that this guy may actually like her, and even scarier, she may like him back. Dylan speaks sports and sarcasm fluently but romance, now that’s something completely foreign to her. What’s an emotionally-allergic guy’s girl supposed to do with a hopeless romantic?

Goodreads / Amazon / Barnes & Noble

EXCERPT:

“What?” I asked, concerned.

But he didn’t answer. Actually, he did, but not with words. He gently rubbed his hand over my bump before he slid it down brushing my cheek with his thumb and slid his hand back around my neck.

I didn’t know what to expect, I was so surprised by the intimacy of his touch and the wild beating of my heart in my chest at his closeness. Whereas this would be the part where I’d crack a joke to break the tension, I couldn’t even think. My brain was blank, barely registering the way his hands felt on my skin or the sight of him so close to my face. Formulating words were beyond me.

He slowly closed the distance between us. His other hand rose up and slipped it into my hair same as the first before he gently leaned down, stealing the lightest whisper-soft kiss.

He didn’t linger, it felt like the kiss was over in the blink of an eye. But even despite the brevity, I still felt like I had been given a swift kick in the chest. My heart was beating a frantic rhythm, and I was winded like I had just run an all-out sprint.

He pulled back enough so I could look up into those blue eyes of his that were so light that you could still make them out in the dark. His hands were still holding me, and my own hands were gripping his shirt tightly, clinging to him for balance.

What the hell just happened?

“What,” I stuttered, unable to speak because he’d annihilated my senses.

“I wanted to wait, to give you time. But tonight, watching you, and hearing you laugh, I just couldn’t stop myself. I had to kiss you,” Vaughn said, his words feathering over my skin.

“Oh,” I said, still stunned. I was still missing something. I continued to look at him, my brain misfiring. I couldn’t get it to work, I just stood there mindlessly.

Vaughn leaned down again, my stomach clenching in nervous anticipation. But this time, he only pressed a kiss to my forehead.

He finally stepped away from me, but he was smiling again. The seriousness that had been on his face earlier was wiped clean just like a Magna Doodle. “I better go.”

“Okay,” I answered breathlessly. My heart had yet to slow down. Vaughn chuckled quietly. “Goodnight, Dylan.”
“Goodnight, Vaughn,” I whispered, unmoving.

“This is the part where you go inside,” he said, his smile widening. “Uh-huh,” I nodded stupidly.

Vaughn laughed before taking my keys out of my hand. He unlocked the door for me and gently pushed me through.

I looked back at him again, trying to riffle through the scores of information that had entered my brain in the last ten minutes but had yet to be processed.

“I’ll talk to you tomorrow,” he said smiling. He gave me a quick wave before he walked away.

I numbly walked up the stairs. It wasn’t until I was inside my apartment, sitting on my bed that my brain finally started working again.

I touched my fingers to my lips, the phantom feel of Vaughn’s moving against them still lingering.

He kissed me.

This whole time I had been convinced that I’d get over my crush eventually. I’d been sure that this was just a friendship, nothing more. But I was wrong.

Slippy? Slappy? Swanson? Samsonite, I had been way off. I smiled. He kissed me.

Well, that changed everything.
