book blurb

What happens when two shifters meet? They're ravenous for love.

Luke knows how to get what he wants. A lone wolf at heart, he has no problem filling his bed with willing partners. But love? It's not in the cards. But when he matches with his best friend's little sister on the dating app, Shifter, everything changes. Jasmine is a fiery lioness and totally off limits--but that makes her all the more alluring.

Jasmine has had a crush on Luke as long as she can remember. He's sexy, powerful, and alpha. But as his best friend's little sister, Jasmine knows she doesn't stand a chance.

When Luke swipes right on her Shifter profile, Jasmine is shocked. Could this be the start of something more?

But Power Shift is out for blood. They hate any interspecies dating, and will stop at nothing to keep the shifter lines pure. When they attack, can Jasmine and Luke protect each other? Can their newfound love survive?

Warning: this book contains crazy chemistry, lots of sex, and a little violence to keep things spicy. If those things don't appeal to you, this book is not for you!

excerpt

“You’re using a matchmaking app?” Rachel was flabbergasted. “You don’t need that.”

“It’s Max’s invention. It’s pretty popular, Rach.”

“Luke is using a matchmaking app? That’s surprising,” Rachel frowned. She opened her mouth to continue but stopped as the waitress came up and delivered her drink. They both gave their lunch order and Jasmine let out her breath in a huff when they were finally left alone.

“That felt like ages,” Jasmine commented.

“So Luke is looking for a mate?” Rachel asked, lifting up her drink and taking a sip. “Are you okay with that?” She looked at Jasmine with concern.

This time, Jasmine couldn’t hold back her reaction. She rolled her eyes.

“Listen very carefully, Rachel. He. Liked. My. Profile,” Jasmine annunciated each word precisely. “We m-a-t-c-h-e-d.” Jasmine spread her hands out, her own eyebrows rising with a do-you-understand-now expression.

“Wait, what?” Jasmine couldn’t believe her best friend could be so dense. “Are you kidding me?” Finally, Jasmine thought. Lightbulb.

“Yes! I know, I know. I can’t believe it myself. But look,” She pushed her phone across the table, her and Luke’s profile pictures side by side, a heart surrounding them with big green lettering stating ‘MATCHED’ at the top of the screen.

Rachel’s eyes widened and Jasmine nodded, still barely believing it herself. Realization and excitement dawned on Rachel’s face and she gasped. Jasmine nodded again, seemingly unable to do anything more. It was real. Proof Jasmine wasn’t dreaming written all over Rachel’s face.

“Holy shit, Jaz,” Rachel looked up, a huge smile on her face. “What are you going to do?”

“I believe you meant who am I going to do.” Jasmine grinned. Rachel laughed.

She couldn’t help the first thought that popped into her head was her and Luke, naked in bed doing the dirty. He’d been every single one of her secret fantasies. She had a lifetime of ideas stored inside her, ready to explore.

Yet, Rachel’s statement continued to echo in her mind, pushing aside delicious thoughts of licking Luke from top to bottom. Rachel was right, what was she going to do?

“Jaz?” Rachel’s expression turned concerned.

Holy crap, Jasmine thought. What could she do? This undeniable attraction she’d had for Luke for years had been a dream. Wishful thinking.

But now? Now there was a real possibility Luke and her could become something more than friends. That something she’d secretly yearned for in the dark, not truly voicing aloud, could actually come true.

Book Description:

Menos has been destroyed. No corner of the realm of Geadhain is safe from the Black Queen’s hunger. Zionae—or the Great Dreamer, as she has been called in ancient tongues—has a thirst that cannot be quenched until all of Geadhain burns and bleeds. She preys on the minds of weak men and exploits human folly for an unhuman end. She cannot be defeated in her current state, but the answer to her downfall may lie in the land of her past.

It is with this aim that a Daughter of Fate, Morigan, and her brave and true companions venture to the mysterious Pandemonia, the land of chaos itself. Ancient secrets and even older power lurk in its swamps and deserts. Life itself becomes uncertain, but the Hunters of Fate have no choice: Pandemonia must give up its secrets if they want to find the Black Queen’s weakness.

Elsewhere in the realm, alliances form and break. Dead men rise and heroes fall. Eod prepares for war. In hiding, Lila, the bearer of its destruction, will be given a chance to atone and answer for her sins. Will her actions save Eod, or has she damned it with her crimes?

Excerpt:
Heathsholme was quaint—Central Geadhain’s darling, as the locals proclaimed. Looking down upon it, passengers on skycarriages were often struck by the fact that the realm possessed the look of a joyfully made quilt. Red-leafed orchards, yellow fields of flax and corn, patches of blue brocade that were swimming pools and watering holes…all threaded with brown branching roads. Sweet winds blew down from the North year-round, bearing only cool and refreshing properties until winter rose to claim the throne of seasons. When the North wind came, it froze Heathsholme’s pools into skating circles and decorated the large trees with grand chandeliers of ice. In the depths of that season, the staunch apple trees finally died. Their fruits fell to the ground and were collected. Their blossoms broke from their branches and filled the air like flocks of migrating winter birds. During this season, families came from the West, South, and East to visit Heathsholme and enjoy great outdoor festivals of food, music, mulled cider, and wine—for which the region was also famed.
Partly on account of the season’s coolness, these celebrations happened around great bonfires. At night, when the happily drunk howled at the moon, a primal spirit took hold, and effigies of nameless spirits were burned in the pyres. No one could remember why or how the Vallistheim tradition had been born, only that it was a remnant of the customs once imposed by Taroch. The ancient warlord had been fascinated by the Northmen’s rites, and had introduced many of them to Central Geadhain. Vallistheim—the winter festival—was believed to bring bounty and luck in the New Year. Over time, polite society had done away with many of the less pleasant sacrificial details to make the ritual friendlier to outsiders. Now only one cow from each of the barns and byres that rose on rings in the hilled highlands around the heart of the township was cooked in a great feast, without having been ritually slaughtered first.
In the uncultivated grasses past the city proper and its farmlands, a dedicated explorer could find the remains of crumbled churches that had been built to honor the now vanished religion of Taroch’s fancies. Runes that the sages had translated into such names as Freyallah, Odric, and Helhayr were found chiseled in the mossy arches of these grounds. These sites of an ancient religion were thought by modern minds to be haunted or perhaps protected by the ancient spirits or warriors mentioned in the stones. It was the sort of refuge where a monster, fearful of being seen, could find sanctuary.

Excerpt:

“No one gets to train with Master Dominic. He’s like the king of Darkest Dreams. No one, and I mean no one will ever own him,” Ella said.
Avery Masters stared across the Darkest Dreams BDSM club to the man that captivated every single person within the room. She had been coming to this place for over a year, and couldn’t bring herself to do anything more than watch. For this club, prior to being accepted, she had to take a test. During the test she’d been so nervous, and after finishing it, she’d been graded submissive.
“All you do is watch when you could be with any other man here,” Ella said, drawing her attention back to her.
“It’s nothing. Honestly, I’m just, I don’t know, I don’t like the thought of anyone else touching me.” The club had plenty of Masters, she simply didn’t want any of them. All of the men were Dominant, and there were a few female Dommes as well.
Ella was her friend, who also happened to love the lifestyle. They got along really well, and tended to visit the club together.
“Why don’t you just ask him?” Ella asked.
“Ask who?”
“Please, sweetie, you drool over him every time we’re here.”
“He’s very good.”
Right now Master Dominic was showing a man how to use a whip. This was what she loved about Darkest Dreams. Everyone could learn, and there would be no judgement. She didn’t know the man he was teaching, but the woman currently secured to a spanking bench looked damn happy.
Licking her lips, Avery pressed her thighs together as another wave of arousal washed over her. What was it about Dominic that called to her? She didn’t understand it. Yes, he was a handsome guy, but there were plenty of handsome men out there who didn’t get her attention. He looked hot in a pair of leather pants, but then again, she’d never seen him naked.
“I’m going to head to the bathroom,” she said, needing a distraction. She was starting to feel like a stalker herself.
“If you see a handsome man, just go with it. I think it’s the only way you’re ever going to get over your addiction to Master Dom.”
“I’m not addicted.” She didn’t stick around to see what else her friend had to say. There was an attraction, and an addiction. Was it healthy? No, it wasn’t. She hadn’t been with a guy in a long time, even before she joined the club. Now she spent most of her time comparing all men to Dominic.
The bathrooms were clear, so she didn’t linger, nor did she stare at her reflection. All she would find was fault. Her face was too round, her hips too wide, her stomach too round. At a size fourteen, she had to be one of the biggest women at the club. The only women she’d seen with Dominic were the kind that were slender, like bone slender.
Pressing her washed and dried hands to her face, she whimpered. “Just get him out of your mind. Completely, totally, out of my mind.” This obsession was going to make her a lonely, miserable woman.
Still avoiding the mirrors, she made her way outside, coming against a sudden wall of human flesh.
“Be careful there, sweetness.”
His voice.
Heat filled her cheeks, and when she looked at him she cringed, immediately looking down. “I’m so sorry, Sir, Master, erm …” she couldn’t find the right words.
My first time talking to the man of my dreams, and I’m stuttering!
“You can look at me. The club has rules for certain people and couples. Not all of them need to be followed.”
She frowned, looking up at him. “What do you mean?”
“Couples who believe in a complete Dominance and submissive lifestyle choose to do so within the club as well. Newbies are a different matter.”
“I thought the whole head bowing was a sign of respect.”
“Yes, and no. You don’t bow your head for everyone, do you?”
“No.” That would be embarrassing. She worked in an office all day. Bowing her head would just make her stand out like a sore thumb.
“You’ve never been played with, Avery.”
“You know my name.”
He leaned in close so that his lips were against her ear and whispered. “There’s a lot I know about you.”

book blurb

June Jenson, an accomplished Oxford professor, has spent her life trying to get out from under the shadow of her infamous grandfather: a renowned archaeologist accused of stealing a relic during an excavation at Sutton-Hoo. When a secret alliance recruits June to guard priceless artifacts she realizes that this is her chance to contribute to the history she loves and rid herself of the cloud of suspicion that her family has lived under for so long. But, when the artifact June is commissioned to guard turns out to be the same relic her grandfather was accused of stealing− a relic he has consistently claimed never existed − her carefully laid plans of family redemption are a bit shot. Now, with the aid of her accused grandfather who suffers from early onset Alzheimer’s, and a chauffeur who’s looking for a scandal to make him famous, June must race to discover the truth of the shield and what really happened at Sutton-Hoo all those years ago.

excerpt

“Isn’t that what I have just been asking for?” I ask.

I must remain calm. The Alzheimer’s always gets worse when I get angry at him. But, honestly, sometimes it is so trying to have a conversation with someone that should really take about a minute and it ends up taking twenty. Even then we don’t really get anywhere.

“As long as you’re sure,” he says. “I don’t want you to regret afterwards that you asked for my help and weren’t able to figure this out on your own.”

“I could figure this out on my own,” I argue.

At his doubtful expression I sit up straighter.

“It’s not that I can’t figure it out myself. Because I certainly could, given more time.”

“And how much time have you had already to solve this riddle?”

I pretend to think about the answer when we both know I haven’t slept in three days.

The Alliance has given me until midnight. I have exactly twenty-three minutes left to give them an answer that will determine my entire future. If it’s right, I’m in. I will officially be protecting Britain’s priceless artifacts; studying them, and seeing relics that no one is even aware are in existence.

If I fail, I have thirty essays to grade by tomorrow morning.

“Right, so you need my help, but you want to figure this out yourself,” he says.

“Exactly,” I nod.

“June, really, have you not been working on your logical formulas lately? You’re not making a lick of sense.” The Professor shakes his head. “I really shouldn’t help you with arguments as unsound as that.”

The Professor doesn’t know what this is really about. He thinks it is a bet amongst colleagues at work. The first one to solve the riddle gets the coveted parking spot beside the Elm tree. We don’t even own a car, but the Professor’s pride responded to the principle of the matter when I told him the stakes.

“Professor, please!” I say, looking down at my watch. “Can you just tell me the answer, and we can argue over semantics later?”

He studies me for a moment before nodding.

“I’ve got a better idea,” he says, smiling. “How about another clue?”

Stay calm, just breathe. Everything will be fine.

“Now, let me see…” he says, pursing his lips. “Something to tell you that won’t be too obvious… That’s a hard thing, I got the answer in about three seconds with the clues you’ve already been given…”

If he doesn’t tell me the bloody answer in five minutes he’s going in a home.
