GENRE: Historical Romance

BLURB:

A ghost child left to die in a French forest, Contesse Blanchefort seeks her long-buried past after her adoptive father dies at the Bastille. Embarking on a quest across England with a pagan woman and a rogue Gypsy, Contesse falls ill in London, and her companions are forced to seek help. With overwhelming compassion, physician’s apprentice Eric McEwan nurses Contesse back to health, but discovers that her exotic accent and pale features set his heart ablaze...her mere touch brands his soul. Passion blooms as the two discover their love for one another—with disastrous consequences.

Upon his expulsion from Cambridge, Eric must battle his domineering grandfather’s wrath. When family tragedy strikes, he must return to his provincial home and confront his abusive past. Carrying on with her quest, Contesse struggles to free herself from her childhood as sinister details are revealed. Without Eric, she’s lost. But love is strong...can they conquer their demons to find one another again?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Excerpt One:
Dumbfounded at this new information, Contesse shook her head. “I had no idea! All these years, and our country doctor couldn’t explain what was wrong with me…a child with skin and hair as pale as a—” A gasp escaped her lips, finally uncovering the epithet the old crone had called her. “She called me a ghost!”
Who? Your mother?”
Folding her arms across her chest, she glanced away. “No. The old woman that haunts my dreams. She took care of me when I was a child…before Edouard found me. She was right…look at me!”
Eric pulled her close and forked his fingers through her hair from the roots to the ends. Trailing a light finger down her neck, he husked, “She’s daft, Contesse. You certainly feel real to me…pure and innocent, like an angel…”
Contesse inhaled sharply as desire surged through her veins. Waves of desire invaded her body with his mere touch. A flush of warmth crept up her cheeks, her womanly folds moistening in response to his husky voice. What’s he doing to me?
Entwining his fingers with hers, he searched her face. “Have you ever been kissed?”
She lowered her eyes, unable to face him lest she burst into tears. “Oui. Once. But he didn’t want me either.”
With a sympathetic shake of his head, he tipped her chin up and stared at her. “Then he’s a fool. God, but you are the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen...”
CHINFAI Scalable Tablet Case with Stand Function 7''-8'' Silicone Universal Tablet Case
My Grand Daughter who is 4 has a tablet and she is in love with it.. She being 4 doesn't always take the best care of it. It has scratches on the screen from being bounced around. She watches her cartoons and plays her learning games on the tablet and all though it is a cheaper tablet we would like for it to last a while. She was in need of a tablet case. She has a 2 year old brother who sometimes gets ahold to the tablet as well and it does get dropped and banged around by both kids. When I was given the opportunity to have this case I went for it. This easily went around the tablet edges. It has like a large elastic bad inside so it can fit different sized tablets from 7 to 8 inches. It fits well around the tablet and stays on even with the kids. It has large corner and side guards to protect from drops and bangs. I do think this case is going to extend the life of her tablet.
CHGeek 3-USB Car Charger with Quick Charge 2.0 + USB-C + 2.4A Smart USB
Great car charger. It has 2 regular USB charging slots and 1 type c slot. The USB slots are a 2.0 and 2.4 and the type c is a 3A. All 3 are 5 volt and will charge any device. I can charge my phone actually very quickly with this charger. I am in the car a good bit and I use my phone when I am the passenger and bored. I play games surf the web and even use the navigation system on my phone and take pictures. I always like to keep my phone plugged in while in the car. My husband and I also like using our MP3 players while in the car. We listen to the music we want to hear or audio books so I need to keep the MP3 player charged as well. So having a 2 slot car charger is a must. At the minute I do not have a type C plug but we are looking at new phones and with the type C being an option I decided it would be a good idea to go ahead and have one on hand.
Guest Blog Post #8- Five facts that may surprise you about my newest book, Chicks Dig the Accent.
Hello, my name is Roxanne D. Howard, and I write contemporary erotic romance. I had an absolute blast writing my latest novella, Chicks Dig the Accent, an erotic romantic comedy and modern-day fairy tale, loosely based on Cinderella.  Art of Molly and Evan below by Bianca Duarte.
I’d like to share five interesting facts that may surprise you about my book:
  1. Molly Ivers, the heroine of the book, is a feminist. I know, with a title like Chicks Dig the Accent, you were probably wondering, right? Rest assured, there are no busty airheads in this novella, though you will find plenty of steamy, fan-yourself love scenes and a fun tale. It’s a witty, erotic romantic comedy, and Molly is our modern-day Cinderella, an intelligent exhibitions archivist for a museum, who spends her work days restoring ancient and precious artifacts. She’s finishing up her Master’s degree in Anthropology, and she is about to move to Paris for an internship. She’s one smart cookie.
Molly Ivers
  1. I wrote the character of Evan James with a young Jon Bon Jovi in mind. Evan is a cool, laid back, confident guy who has his eye on Molly. He sings in his rock band, Seriously Evan, and tutors in French to help pay his rent. He’s a fellow grad student and her downstairs neighbor. The two slept together once.
Evan James
  1. There are a total of five different sexy accents from all the men in this book, and two foreign languages used during the story other than English (French and Spanish).
  1. During a salsa class that Molly and her friend Nell take, Jorge, the instructor, has the dancers pair off with someone of a different race, to prove a point about diversity. This is a little tribute to a Drill Sergeant I had who did the same thing when I was in Boot Camp 15 years ago, though we were doing physical training and not Salsa. I WISH it had been Salsa!
  1. There’s a Star Trek, Dirty Dancing, and blink-twice-and-you’ll-miss it cheeky, little wink to Disney I put in the book during the funnier moments.
Book Blast for Where the Heart Is by Jennie Marsland
Where the Heart Is
by Jennie Marsland
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

GENRE: Historical Romance

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BLURB:
When Rochelle McShannon moves with her father from Morgan County, Georgia to the Yorkshire Dales, she thinks she’s leaving behind everything that matters to her. Her mother has passed away, her twin brother is going west to avoid the looming Civil War, and her family’s unpopular views on slavery and secession have destroyed her relationship with the man she hoped to marry. If returning to her father's childhood home eases his grief, Chelle asks for nothing more.
Martin Rainnie understands grief. Since the loss of his wife in childbirth, he’s known little else, except anger. He’s retreated to his farm and turned his back on the world, including his baby daughter, who’s being fostered by Chelle’s relatives. With little Leah drawing them together, Martin begins to wonder if he can love again – and convince Chelle to do the same.
But the war overseas has far-reaching consequences, even in a small English village. Can Martin and Chelle overcome danger, loss, and bitterness to make a home where the heart is?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Excerpt Two:

As she bent to set the lamb on its feet, a dog’s bark startled her. Still crouching, Chelle spun around and faced a grizzled black and white Border Collie, standing a few feet away with its teeth bared and hackles raised. Luckily, the dog’s owner stood close by. Heart in her throat, Chelle released the lamb and slowly raised her gaze from a pair of heavy boots to eyes the color of a stormy sea.

Come, Gyp.”

The dog returned to his master’s side at the curt command. Chelle stood, blushing under the man’s cool stare.

He’d be at least six feet tall, perhaps taller, bulky and solid. He reminded her of Charlie Bascomb at home, broad in the shoulders, thick in the legs and torso, but the resemblance stopped there. Charlie was quiet and easy-going, always wearing a smile, but there was nothing approachable about this man with his lowering brows, grim mouth and rust-colored hair. His resemblance to Leah told Chelle who he must be.

Hello. I’m Rochelle McShannon. Are you Martin Rainnie?”

The Collie stood braced beside his master, the fur still standing up on the back of his neck. Mr. Rainnie looked no more welcoming. He spoke to Chelle as curtly as he had to his dog. “Aye. What are you doing out here?”
