Home-it toilet brush set Chrome toilet brush

Great toilet brush set. I have a very nice stainless steel trash can in my bathroom and have been looking for a nice toilet brush set that would go well with the trash can. I am so happy I ran across this one. I had an old ugly plastic toilet brush set in my bathroom and you could see the ugly brush. To me it just wasn't what I wanted to look at every time I walked in the bathroom. This toilet brush set looks very nice in my bathroom. No more looking at the brush The brush goes down into the stainless steel container. I love that it has a removable plastic cup that sits down inside so the water stay s in the cup not in the bottom of the holder, or worse yet on the floor. The brush is attached to the lid and the lid actually helps to keep from getting splashed as well.

Homar Left/Right Fishing Spinning Reels

Small and light weight aluminum reel. Exchangeable Collapsible Rocker Arm for left or right handed. Front and rear drag System.

My Grand son is now 11 and just getting into really fishing so I wanted him to have a rod and reel of his own. I have given him this reel and his daddy really likes it. Says it is a great reel for the type of fishing they do. It is by no means a professional quality reel but then again neither is the price. It should last him a very long time though, if he takes care of it properly. It has already caught a few fish in our little forest ponds. This reel won't stand up to Deep Sea Fishing but it wasn't made for that. We live in the middle of the Ocala National Forest and there are lakes and ponds all around us. Mostly bass, blue gill, and cat fishing.

Bicycle Bike Mount Phone Bags, Universal by Sahara Sailor

My husband and I ride bikes, not bicycles, but motorcycles. We wanted something we could hook onto the handlebars for those occasions we are taking a ride and need to use our phone for the GPS. This phone mount has proves itself to be perfect. It fits well and has adjustable Velcro straps for the handlebars, there are actually 3 straps and buckles on the back of the mount. So it holds very securely. Inside there is a large wrap with Velcro that the phone fits into so it does not bounce around loosely. The front where you see your phone screen is a clear plastic. The plastic fronting lets you use your phone as well with a light touch instead of having to push hard to make your buttons work. There is also a shadow window at the top on the outside, which helps a little for keeping the direct sunlight off of the phone screen when you are trying to see the scree.
There is also a small netted pouch behind the phone area where you could put your charger or personal items like keys, ID, money or whatever. The pouch has a zippered closure. The whole case is waterproof. There is even a slot out the side of the case you could run a headphone line or if using the GPS on the motorcycle we can leave the phone hooked up to the charger on long rides. Now that Summer is about here this will get a lot of use on our bike.

Afterglow Solitaire 18k Gold Filled Pendant Necklace

This is such a pretty necklace. I can wear it everyday and even on special occasions. It is not to big or too small, it is my perfect size.  The pendant is 0.51in x 0.87in. It is plated with 18 karat white gold. There are 10 small crystal clear stones down the one side and a large crystal clear stone in the middle. The large middle stone does catch the light and glimmers. This comes on a 20 inch long chain, 2 inches of that are the adjustable links. This does not come in a gift box.It comes shipped on a cardboard holder in a clear plastic envelope. It would make a great gift for any occasion. I have been wearing it about a week now and so far it has not turned my neck green. I love the chain on it, it is almost like braided. It is just very pretty. and I love pretty without being gaudy.

In a massive spaceship destined for Alpha Centauri B, with a genesis crew including Zip the telepathic dog, his old friendly nemesis Cramer, and a computer being named Ra (now inhabiting a human form and calling herself Aten), Simon Bank emerges from a hundred-year coma and is hailed as an awakened hero. Stuck with unwanted responsibility, he is forced to try to solve the entire enigma of the universe—a small undertaking—before the spaceship, his friends, and all life on Earth are swatted out of existence by super beings he has accidentally awakened.

Simon’s only hope is to plunge into other dimensions with his mind—into the secrets of the universe’s pan-dimensions—as only he knows how. The fate of all life hangs in the balance as he struggles to prove himself worthy of the Path and the absolute trust his friends place in him. Simon knows all too well that if he fails there is no hope—none at all—for anyone, and that includes his best friend, an artificial intelligence computer called Apollo, which he sadly left behind. Besides, Zip would not be pleased, either.

For fans of cyberpunk and classic science fiction,  Reaching Angelica (Yucca Publishing; February 2, 2016; 978-1-63158-069-7) is the second book in Peter Riva’s Tag trilogy, the comic, thrilling, and continuing saga of Simon Bank—ex–master system computer wrangler and very unlikely galactic hero.

Praise for Reaching Angelica

Interview with Peter Riva:
  • Which was the hardest character to write? The easiest?
Hardest was always going to be Simon Bank. A man who doesn’t know how smart he really is, who was misled by his parents and society, used as a tool who suddenly has all this responsibility thrust upon him – he remains humble, never self-delusional and, yes, screws up (a lot).
  • There are many Cyberpunk out there about artificial intelligence...What makes yours different?
All of them go on the concept that the brain power would be enough to awaken a being who would then, like Athena from Zeus’ head, fully formed and capable. But any AI – modelling is human for most computers after all – would emerge as an infant. That makes the AI more AND less frightening and certainly more interesting.
  • Your book is set in space. Have you ever been there?
Don’t I wish! I spent a lot of time with astronauts and great aviators. So, yes, their passion did rub off on me. I live near the VLA and that trip and museum is always mind-blowing.
  • Do you ever get writer’s block? What helps you overcome it?
Less writer’s block than writer’s impediment. Daily grind, work, paychecks. How do I overcome it? Work harder and carve out time. Sometimes that takes a while.
  • What is your next project?
Simon Bank has one more story in him… and I suspect Zip will save the day…
  • What is the last great book you’ve read?
As a literary agent, I get great book to read all the time. Perhaps the most “out there” intelligent and talented writer is Sharman Apt Russell. Oh, and her father was the great Capt. Apt who flew the Bell X-2.
  • In today’s tech savvy world, most writers use a computer or laptop. Have you ever written parts of your book on paper?
Yes, I have, diagrams, notes, phrases I want to remember in the middle of the night. But I like computers – as long as they obey my organization and input and are not fascist do-it-our-way machines (sorry Apple, I am not a fan).
  • Favorite dessert?
Palmier cookies. I used to get them at Dumas’ Bakery on Lexington as a kid. Now I get them from a friend, Tina Salmon, who makes them better than Fauchon’s of Paris! If you have not had a great one, flaky and crisp, you are missing one of life’s great pleasures.
  • If there is one thing you want readers to remember about you, what would it be?
That all of my stories are based on fact, knowledge and then spun out from there. Where’s the line? Like all Sci-Fi my sincere hope is that years from now someone will read my books and say, “He almost had it right!

Thank you Peter for a wonderful interview.

Book Blast for When in Rome by J. Lynn Rowan

When in Rome
By J.  Lynn Rowan

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
GENRE: Contemporary Romance, Chick Lit
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

BLURB:

Atlanta-based photographer Kate Miller doesn’t believe in fairytale romance or relationships of the forever kind. She’s determined to build her own happiness through hard work and professional success. So, when the opportunity arises to join an exclusive fashion photo shoot in Rome, she jumps on the chance to gain international recognition. But she’s not counting on an instant attraction to the charismatic, sexy, and irritatingly arrogant director of the shoot.

World famous, Domenic Varezzi is used to calling the shots. His clients trust his instincts and they’re willing to pay for the best. But while his career is thriving, his personal life has been lackluster at best. Hoping Kate could be the answer he’s been looking for, he’s determined to win her over. Every challenge she sends his way drives him to break through her tough-as-nails exterior to reach the vulnerable heart that matches his own.

Surrounded by the beauty and magic of Italy’s “Eternal City,” a foundation begins to form that could lead to a lifetime partnership, both in business and in love. Until Domenic’s past comes back to haunt the present and threatens to destroy everything.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Excerpt Two:
I accept the handshake. But a split second into it, as our gazes lock, his grip softens around mine. A slow warmth seeps down my arm and melts into my chest. My lungs seize, and Domenic’s throat works briefly as if he can’t quite swallow.
This is not what I signed on for.
Panic sets in. I slide my hand from his and cup it around the bowl of my glass. The wine burns a little as I take too big a gulp, but I manage not to cough. Domenic, too, has retreated into his glass, but whatever just passed in that handshake hangs over us.
“So,” I say in a voice too close to a whisper, sending a sidelong glance his way, “do you always wander around hotels at night with two glasses and a bottle of wine?”
“Only when there’s a chance I might run into a pretty girl.”
I snort into my glass, relieved that the spell seems to be broken.
Domenic’s grin returns. “Why is that funny?”
“The last person to call me a pretty girl was my great-uncle, and I think I was ten years old at the time.”
He chuckles. “Beautiful woman, then.”
The unexpected compliment sets off a flurry of butterflies deep in my stomach. Suddenly breathless, I drain my glass and set it down, then reach for my laptop and close the screen. “Now you’re just making fun of me.”
“I didn’t mean to.”
Chair legs scrape as we both push away from the table, me ready to bolt, him rising to placate me before I can. We stand facing each other, nearly as close as we were in the studio this afternoon. Taking a deep breath, I stare at his chest for a minute. Once my wild heartbeat and those damn butterflies settle, I tip my head back to meet his gaze.
“What are you doing on Sunday?” he asks before I can speak.
I stutter for a minute, unable to look away from his eyes. “Sightseeing, probably. We have the whole day off.”
“Maybe I’ll join you.”
My throat feels tight again. Nodding, I skirt around him, choking out something that sounds like, “Good night.”
His fingers touch my arm as I pass. “Good night, Kate.”
Head spinning, I clutch my laptop against my chest and rush to the terrace doors. I look back when I reach the doorway, only to find him watching me, his thumbs hooked in his pockets and a half-smirk on his face.
A face I find too handsome for my own good.
Still, I wave at him, wiggling my fingers like a silly teenager who sees her crush across the cafeteria. My face burns as I whirl, practically sprinting across the dark breakfast room to the hallway and stairwell.
