by Susan Joyce

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
GENRE: travel adventure/memoir
BLURB:
When Susan and Charles receive a letter from Cyprus friends, now in Taiwan, they get a chance to help crew a sailboat from Sri Lanka across the Indian Ocean. They have no clue what to expect. Susan reminds Charles she isn't a good swimmer. He tells her a life jacket will do the trick, and convinces her it's the opportunity of a lifetime. A must-do travel adventure. They say goodbye to friends and family in sunny California, fly to New York and on to India, arriving the day the Indian government has issued a state of emergency. And then onto the boat, and into the ocean. In monsoon season. With no charts.
In this true-life travel adventure, Susan keeps a journal and record her bizarre thoughts and telling dreams. A real life thriller, Susan's monsoon-season journey is about discovery and spiritual realization—one dream at a time.
Excerpt:
Ch 12
A powerful surge of energy flooded my body and relaxed me. It was a breakthrough as I became aware of a reality outside my perceived normal existence. The sea heard, answered me, and calmed. I experienced a moment of pure joy when I discovered the interconnections of nature and the universe around me. My epiphany.
This was not the first time I had felt supernatural powers surround me. I had experienced this also as a child when I sat out on a hot rock in the Arizona desert with my dog Brownie. We watched magic happen while we waited on a spaceship to collect us. My senses became so keen I could see rocks change as the wind brushed them.
I thought back to Cyprus and the long months I had spent in bed thinking and dreaming, bedridden in an attempt to have a healthy baby. Information seemed to flow then from a higher spiritual reality, and events that were beyond what could be explained by nature happened. Again and again.
As the sea stirred my senses, I became the curious, wide open-eyed child again, welcoming the power of magic
Examining these connections, I realized I had touched on a greater truth; the reality of how I fit into the bigger picture of life. The quieter I became, the more I could see and hear. Was it my imagination? Or was I experiencing a heightened awareness as a result of being in tune with nature. Floating in this immense ocean at eye level, gave me a new appreciation for how massive the universe is, and how small and insignificant a human is by comparison. A small speck in the full spectrum of life on earth.
I had traveled far and wide to find myself; to discover my core. My soul.
Simplicity Luxurious Kimono Robe in Silky Peacock Floral Print.Pockets, Purple
I am in love with how pretty this kimono robe is. I love the feel of the soft silky satin material. The beautiful colors are just eye popping. The floral and peacock pattern is just beautiful. The material shimmers.
  This comes right below my knee and I am 5'6. The sleeves are 3/4. It comes with a nice sash. There are 2 pockets, one on each side right below the waist. This is a thin material but it is also warm. When it is warm in the house I wear it without the sash when I am cold I use the sash.
  I wash mine in the wash machine on gentle cycle and dry in a cool dryer, removing as soon as it is dry.
[2016 Newest] Ohuhu 50 Ft Expandable Garden Hose with 8-pattern Spray Nozzle
I have a pretty good sized yard and I have multiple flower beds all over it. I live in Florida and watering year round is a must. This water hose has been a answer to many prayers . Water hoses can be very heavy as well as huge pains getting all twisted up. This one weighs only a couple pounds and is 50 feet long. I love how it shrinks into itself and with a slight tug it stretches to the length you need.  The screw on connectors are copper coated aluminum.
It also comes with a great garden sprayer. The sprayer has 8 different patterns. For me that is a must have on sprayers. I have some very tender plants that hard sprays destroy. With this sprayer I am able to go from plant to bush with a simple twist of the head.
I love that this host does not twist or kink. I love everything about the whole set and am so happy to have it. I have this connected on my front porch and can use it for all of my plants on the porch and part of the yard.
Lunch Bag from Koolsupply, Neoprene Lunch Tote with Zipper
  This lunch box is very nice and the perfect size. It made of neoprene and when it first comes it smells really bad. I ran mine through the washer a couple of times and now it is fine. It is about  8 1/2 inches x 5 inches x 10 1/2 inches. It has a zipper closer. It will keep food cool for up to 4 hours. I love the grey and purple colors of the bag, the colors look great together.
 With the lunch bag being neoprene it is very flexible but not flimsy at all. The inside is large enough to even use for a picnic for 2. Take it to the beach and you can pack your wet swimsuits inside on the way home to keep your car dry.
   I also have Koolsupply's bento 2 tier lunch box which fits great inside. There is left over room for a couple bottle of water, soda, juice or other drinks, and ice packs. This really is a great lunch box for kids or adults.
Sponge Board Foam Mini Blocks, from Nail File Guru
These mini sponge board mini blocks are great. They are about 1 inch by 1 inch and there are 24 in the set. They come in a zip top bag, which is a great idea. Therese are small enough to be all over the place but the zip top bag keeps them together. These are small enough to take with you in a purse, briefcase, back pack. I also have one in my car glove box. One in my desk drawer. On in the bed side table. Yea I have them all over. My daughter even snatched a few.  I got the purple ones and they are not real course, which is fine with me. I have very fine nails and do not need rough treatment. These are perfect when I get a hang nail. I keep my nails kind of long naturally and these work great as a prep before painting them as well.
Simplicity Women's Short Sleeve Soft Ruched Maternity Dress
I ordered this dress for my Daughter. She loves the dress. She says it fits great and she loves how soft the material is. The dress is very stretchy in the tummy area and should be great for the whole pregnancy. My Daughter is 5'1 and heavy set not pregnant and the dress fit great. We bought an x-large.  It did not have any funny smell when we opened the package. We bought the Navy blue dress. The color was even all over the dress. She did not notice any color bleed or fading after she washed it in the wash machine. It was did not need ironing after it came out of the dryer either. She did take it out as soon as it was dry though. She is very happy with this dress.
Bento Box Containers with Cutlery from Koolsupply
I wish someone had come up with idea years ago. This makes packing lunches so much easier. This box is compact but holds a lot. There are actually 2 lidded containers in this set. It also come with a plastic knife, fork, and spoon set. The elastic strap is adjustable to 1 of both bowls. These bowls are leak proof, microwave safe up to 3 minutes, and dishwasher safe. They are made with BPA FREE and toxic FREE materials.
This bowl set works amazingly well with the lunch bag also from Koolsupply. It fits perfectly into the lunch bag. The bowl set is 7.3 inches long x 4.3 inches wide x 4.3 inches high. Each bowl holds up to 20 ounces. Great for sandwiches, but cut them in half to fit better, add some chips, fruit, veggies or whatever and have a full lunch.
