Author's Bio:

James Eric Richey was born and raised in California. He attended Brigham Young University, studying English with an emphasis in Literature. After graduating from BYU he returned home to California to further his education by attending law school. After passing the bar, James practiced in California for several years, but he quickly learned that he did not have a passion for the law.

In 1998 James obtained his real estate appraiser license, which has given him a flexible work schedule and allowed him to pursue his true passion, writing books. Besides his writing, he also enjoys reading, running, and sailing. James currently lives in Cheyenne, Wyoming, with his wife, Heather, and their two daughters.

Interview with James Eric Richey

Q: Do you have another profession besides writing?

A: I currently work as a real estate appraiser. I have been appraising residential properties for the past seventeen years. I’ve appraised properties in Utah and in Wyoming.

Q: Do you ever get writer’s block? What helps you overcome it?

A: Yes, I do get writer’s block. At some point, all writers get writer’s block. What I have done in the past to overcome writer’s block is to go back to my outline and see where I am heading with my story. I also reread what I have just written, which also helps stay focused on where the story is going. Sometimes, when I am really stuck, I will go do something else to refresh my mind. Sometimes I will go for a run. Even if I’m not sitting at my computer, I’m still thinking about the story and what issue I’m trying to resolve. Several times while I’ve been running I will get a clearer picture of the story plot and the direction I need to go. With a clear and fresh mind my writer’s block usually will pass.

Q: What is your next project?

A: That is a great question. I’ve started writing another romantic suspense story. This one is dealing with a relationship with a father and a son. Two very different and strong personalities that, like many father son relationships, clash at times. This project deals with forgiveness. This new project is also a love story where the son falls in love with the right girl at the right time. The woman helps the protagonist (the son) understand forgiveness and love. It is a powerful story, filled with emotion.

Q: What genre do you write and why?

A: Right now I am writing romantic suspense stories. I love to read John Grisham legal thrillers and I also love to read Lee Childs, Jack Reacher novels. I want to write a thriller story someday. But, for right now, I’m developing the romantic suspense stories.

Q: Do you write every day?

A: No, I don’t write every day. After I have written a thorough outline, after I’ve written a full personal history of each character, and after I have research the location of my story, I then start to write. Once I have started writing, I usually try to write five to six days a week, Monday through Saturday.

Q: What is your writing schedule?

A; I have a full time job that is very time consuming. When I am writing, I try to stop my day job sometime between four and five in the evening. I then take a dinner break from five to six and then I will write from six to ten at night. When I am deep into my writing, I try to follow this routine with little variation, but things come up. I only write five to six days a week, Monday through Saturday.

Q: Favorite travel spot?

A: My family’s favorite travel spot is Cancun, Mexico. We love the ruins, the beaches, and the food.

Q: Favorite dessert?

A: Breyer’s Rocky Road Ice Cream.

My Review:

Two of hearts is a romance novel written by a MAN!! It is one of the better romance novels I have read lately also. James Eric Richey has written a great story as far as I am concerned. The book is about Jaxson and Annie. Jaxson and Annie are high school sweethearts who are from different backgrounds in a small Montana town.

Jaxson's family is a very loving, caring, close nit, ranch family. Annie is from a house of divorce. Jaxson is going to ask Annie to marry him, but first he must find gold in the old mine on his families property to make her a ring. No store bought ring will do. He wants to give her a piece of himself not just a piece of metal. Yep I am in love with this man already. Jaxson find the gold, makes the ring and asks Annie to marry him, who immediately says yes.

Annie's mother is not happy about the impending marriage. Growing up a child of divorce and her own failed marriages, she plants a seed in Annie's head that there is no happily ever after. As hard as Annie tries she cannot get this doubt out of her head, and cannot truly trust Jaxson.

It also doesn't help that women fall all over themselves over her stunning husband.

As time goes the 2 finish college and move away to start their own lives when Jaxson finds out his family is in desperate need of money so he decides to find the old mine again. This is when the true trouble in their lives begin. The seed Annie's mother planted now grows into a full bush of distrust. You will just have to read the book to find out if they get past these problems or if they loose each other.

About the Author:

Marc Hirsch was born in New York City in 1945. He attended Boston University School of Medicine, graduating in 1969. After 42 years as a doctor, he retired from hospitalist practice in 2011. He published his first book, The Case, in 2012 and will publish his second book, the sequel titled Hard Case, in 2015. The Case was edited and republished as a second edition in 2014. Plans for his screenplay of The Case are being made.

Sentey® Headphone Curve (White)

These are great earphones, have great sound, I love the inline microphone. They are very easy to adjust the size. But the best part is they are comfortable. The cord is long enough you can plug into a computer and not have to set right on it without moving. The plug in is gold plated, which i have heard makes a better connection. The inline microphone is omni directional so you dont have to hold it in your hand and speak directly into it. It never fails if I am trying to do something that I need 2 hands for someone will call and want to chat endlessly. This solves that problem. It also has inline control so I can shove my phone or mp3 player into a pocket and not have to dig it out every time I want to skip a song or answer my phone. And they are inexpensive. I did get my set in exchange for my honest review.

The Man Sham Chamois Cloth

This is huge 26 x 17 inch drying cloth. It is great for drying cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more. This thing is just great. The chamois they have on tv have nothing on this. The sucks the water right up. It is made of PVA. PVA is designed to mimic sea sponge but at an even higher efficiency. It comes in a nice tube that is great for storage. Do not open close to your face, it really stinks. But it does work. I would not let it dry totally out. It does get pretty stiff and may rip apart if you try to fold or unfold it dry. Spray it lightly with a little water if it gets totally dry.
My husband did love it for drying the motorcycle.

KUKPO (TM) High Quality Stainless Steel Milk.

This is a very nice stainless steel frother. It runs on 2 AA batteries. It is very easy to clean up, just run the blade under warm water, and wipe the base off with a damp cloth. It is not dishwasher safe.
It is not as fast as an electric one, but you will get frothed milk. I used it to froth hot candle wax for a decorated look on a ice cream sundae candle and it worked great.

“Have you made your decision?” she blurted.

“I have. I see you have quite a few books on Majera.”

Cordelia frowned at the change in subject. “And here I thought I’d done a good job of hiding them. I don’t want to appear too interested, lest they look for us there.”

“What will you do there? They are strict about punishing wizards who cast illegal spells.”

“The Tear will be my first and last illegal spell. I imagine we’ll do much the same that we do here—sell potions and robes.”

“You won’t live like this if you do.” Nathaniel waved a hand at their opulent surroundings.

“All this is a gilded cage. I’d rather starve as a wizard than live comfortably as a bored lady of the house.”

Taking her hands in his, he drew her over to the divan. Nathaniel ran his thumbs across her knuckles and she shivered at his touch. “A Sephra’s Tear is more than just a lust spell. That is part of what makes it difficult to cast. Any pair of wizards can manage the basic…physical requirements of a lust spell, but a Tear needs the intense pleasure that results from truly understanding your partner’s needs. It requires intimate knowledge. Not just of how to please each other, but how to prolong the experience enough to create a potent Tear.” Nathaniel paused, as though searching for the right words to explain before continuing. “If you’ll forgive the example, it is the difference between having a lover and visiting a whore.”

“I see.” Cordelia licked her lips, her mouth suddenly dry. “I hadn’t considered that.” She had never let anyone know her so intimately—Cordelia’s previous lovers had only seen the polite facade of the Lady Dorchada. She had never trusted any lover enough to be completely honest with them.
